If everyone is fit you have rice Bellingham Phillips henderson as the only actual midfielders so he still goes. He’s been in every single squad when fit. No idea who you think is going instead of him?

Imo Southgate would flog Phillips and rice into the ground over 120mins every knockout round rather than risk anyone anyway. Henderson is just going to sit there, same as trent. The thing is over a 26 man squad England have more attacking options than defensive ones but I'm sure Southgate will just bring as many defensive players as humanly possible. With 23 man squad spaces get a little tighter for our lads but the injuries imo are allowing Southgate to bring half fit players
Henderson there as a wise leader in the group. He'll be good in the camp, in the dressing room and can be brought on to shore things up / calm nerves if needed.

9 defenders 6 midfielders 8 "forwards" but only 1 actual no 9 really. The rest all wingers or attacking CMs who wil ldefend. unfortunately trent and henderson have to go so thats their fitness ruined for the rest of the actual football season. Its a **** squad isn't it really.
Pretty standard selection. Maddison had to be in given his form. I guess Tomori will be a bit miffed given his form for ac Milan is superior to most of those cb over last few years. gallagher bit of a surprise. phillips and Walker, no surprise but risky one. Overall as to be expected really
It is a win for the flouncy style players i suppose. I can't see Southgate actually picking anyone he can't get to defend defend defend. Gallagher is in cos he really has nobody else. I'd agree that tomori and abrahma have been given the english cold shoulder for not plaing in england. with 23 man squad phillips would be a huge risk. with a 26 man squad theres prob space for the two to cock up. I'd struggle to get a good 7-2-1 side ouf of that for southgae though. I can only presume he will start tripper at RB and shaw at LB but he is seriously short of trusted options then I am SO looking forward to boycotting this ****.
Abraham only has three goals this season so isn't in the best form (though form has been ignored for other players). Would probably have been a bit-part player at best anyway.
Just seems odd. Abraham been in previous ones and was seen as Kane understudy - not great form now. toney in good form and called up to England last squad but played no minutes. wilson, wasn’t in any squads, has injury issues, and now called up out the blue. I think you can argue pro and cons of any of them going Tbf, it just makes the not giving Toney any minutes in last few games even more strange
A pub has announced it will boycott the upcoming World Cup in Qatar due to concerns over the host country's LGBTQ+ rights record. The Liverpool Arms on Northgate Street, Chester, has said that it will not be showing any of the matches, due to the host nation's "well-documented" approach. Good on them,might have to pop there when out in Chester next time.
