Surely Chazz was proving the point that what Baxter was saying is, as he said, just rubbish players say to get favour with a new boss? Someone dismissed it and used Shota as an example of it not happening and he went and proved that Flemming did in fact say the same rubbish.

We can be sure it was rubbish now because anyone outside of Tbilisi has no idea what Shota is going on about.

We rarely had any idea what Shota was talking about.

We're all impressed by the way Rosie speaks.

I suspect it's no different for the players.

    I wanted Shota to succeed.
When I heard him speak it was sort of ok for me. I'd worked for many years in a big international company and was very much used to hearing people talk in similar styles. Our home based players just wouldn't have had that experience / exposure.
But then I met Shota and had a fairly long chat with him. I left thinking on the one hand what a nice guy and fair play to him for willingly giving me his time, but on the other hand thinking what a really bizarre conversation and how it wasn't easy or clear getting what points he was making.
Then I hear Daws with his clear, straightforward comments, and then Rosie with again clear, straightforward and intelligent comments and realise what 'we' have been missing. Night Vs day.
Will of course need time for the players to fully get and adapt to how Rosie wants us to play. But we are now in a far, far better place under Rosie (and the back up team he is putting in place).

I'm impressed by the ability to win games. There are plenty of managers who talk a good game but achieve next to nowt and there are great managers that were terrible in front of the press.
If I wanted someone to come in and give the media a hard on I would employ Joey Barton, but ultimately we want a guy to make us hard to beat and win games. Let's hope Rosenior is capable of that.

My post was about the ability to communicate with the players, not the media.

I wanted him back as manager a couple times back in the day.

Socks blown off if it happens.

Someone who doesn’t normally get these snippets told me this evening, so could be complete speculation but I trust him.

Currently working at Forest so fits with what Rosenior has been saying. Also fits with Baz ‘familiar face’ comment

It's always easier to blame a manager than the players, and players are known to make excuses. Going by the first goal it looks like Baxter isn't understanding Rosenior's instructions either. And I've felt Seri appears to like the challenge of receiving the ball in tight situations to prove he can still play the ball out anyway.

While I wasn't overjoyed with Acun just appointing his friend I don't see the point in speculation. Acun wants a particular style and that's what we've been seeing, and players have been brought in according to that. Acun has appointed and dismissed managers. It's going to take a while to get a disparate group of players to gel, and with the injuries we've had that was going to take even longer.

Quite a coup if it happens.
If it is him, fair chance he would trade U18's role at Forest for 1st Team Assistant role with us.
    Vast experience and contacts.
Added bonus that he's a bit of a legend to some of us from the Great Escape days. Rosie, Daws, and WJ, nice to have that added 'affinity'.
    Excited.

Warren Joyce is past it. Although the young lads on the coaching team could do with an older experienced head alongside them.

    ? Isn't that contradictory?
That 2nd sentence is like I see it - an older, vastly experienced head to complement the others.

    Warren Joyce
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After taking over as player-manager of Hull City in 1998, he eventually moved to Belgium, where he was appointed manager of Manchester United's feeder club Royal Antwerp in 2006.
Two years later, he returned to England as co-manager of the Manchester United reserves, along with former Manchester United forward Ole Gunnar Solskjær. When Solskjær left in 2011, Joyce took charge of the reserves. In November 2016, he was signed by Wigan Athletic as a replacement for Gary Caldwell, but left four months later. In June 2017, Joyce was announced as the new manager for Melbourne City in the A-League. On 8 May 2019, Melbourne City announced they had severed ties with Joyce.
In June 2019, he became the Development coach with League Two side Salford City, spending two years with the Ammies before taking on the role of lead U18 coach with Nottingham Forest in July 2021.

He's 57. He's not past it- he's exactly the kind of "old head" these young pups at this club need! And also a similar age to Brian Horton when he returned
