Everyone told him that 12 years ago But then again we didn’t have the advantage of stuffed brown paper envelopes
I’m sure he always knew it… but It’s easier to say it when you’ve spent the contents of the envelope.
Reckon we’ll provide a game for Ayling, Llorente, Firpo, Robles, Joffy, Willy, Cry, Greenwood plus a few of the regular starters - and most will probably get 90 minutes. A few of the starters for Spurs will probably get no more than 60 minutes. The priority has to be the Premiership, but I’d like to go as far as we can in all cup competitions. Yes there is the risk of fixture pile up in the new year, but we can take stock then, and prioritise then if necessary. Fancy a win tonight, and love a point (or better?) at Spurs. MOT
As per discussion a few days back. In theory players should be fully recovered in 3 days, so a mid week match shouldn't really impact on a weekend one. But there's a reasons they prefer not to: - not every player recovers the same - players with niggles can aggravate them, or slow down healing process - risk of new injuries/suspensions - opportunity to give minutes to squad players so they're better prepared if needed in PL games - also helps keep them happy/involved - The weekend team can concentrate on preparing for that match not the midweek one. We have a high intensity playing style... maybe its not coincidence that our two flattest performances of the season were leicester, fulham... 2nd and 3rd games in a week after the Arsenal match. If we had 3 or 4 points more in the bag i'd be more relaxed about it, but i'd hope to see a fringe side that should still be competitive against likely another fringe side. Ironically, it seems the only PL team yesterday to put out competitive team was Brentford... and they got knocked out.
Do any of you bright sparks know if tonights match will be shown on an IPTV channel and if so which one ? Reason I ask was trying to find Brentford/Gillingham last night but couldn't find it. Bein Sports showed Bournemouth/Everton & Leicester/Newport but not every match. Cheers

The back 4 would have been a good starting line up a year or two back. Looking forward to seeing how Joseph does, I’d have hoped for a slightly stronger bench

Well it’s a chance for everyone to see our u21s… play wolves u21s probably. If there was any doubt it seems confirmation that Jesse’s bonus is based on league position not cup performance.

Same front 5 plus Harrison that couldn't score against Crewe in the PJT. Even from the penalties remember
