I thought tonight highlighted for me why we need Humpreys in the no.10 position. First half he was man marked out of the game but second he kept the ball well and his quality of pass was sometimes sublime. We literally should build our team around him
Humphryes and Edwards were our stand out players, Ball disappoints. Very pleased for Burgess to have come thru that. I like mercurial Freddie but by heck he needs 10 opportunuties to score 1 goal! He is improving at leading the line. Their main tactic of lobbing the ball in we coped well with. Clearly much practicising needed after last 2 weeks! We are in the Cup still, and I dont mean the pyjama Papa J trophy!
The good thing about Ladapo in comparison to earlier in the season is that he is now getting in better positions to score. Even the best strikers miss chances as long as he's there to miss I'm not overly concerned although he did miss a particularly high number of chances last night. The thing I feel he lacks most is a bit of explosiveness
Ladapo is doing his job and finding the net. Making it look easy is no bad thing if he gets the goal tally.
