It is and I think it goes without saying we are a difficult team to beat.

Botman is still to be on a losing side.

We did draw a lot at the beginning. But that can be down to getting results and that’s what we do.

Yeah and Palace is the only game i can think off which we "should have won". Brighton, Man City, Man Utd were good results and Wolves, Bournemouth could have gone either way.

ps. Actually if we'd been given that penalty against Man City to make it 4-1 that would possibly have been a win.

I don't agree with the palace verdict personally, yes we got ****ed over by VAR but we really struggled to break them down, they were resilient and that centre back of theirs was really impressive in my view.

We have no reason to be looking with hindsight this year lads, things are going great, everyone gets a **** decision now and again but in the main we are in a miles better situation than the last few years. I include Saint Rafa's time in that estimation n all.

In addition, in the absence of a time machine and a way of rediverting the course of history, we are where we are and what has happened, happened.

And if I had a time machine - and call me selfish - but my priority would not be trying to change a performance against Bournemouth.

I think if Roly had a time machine he'd go back and do something nasty to Chris Wood before he gets a chance to join NUFC.

These are really good podcasts as they seem to be directed at improving performance both in business and in sport and it was clear that Howe had put a lot of thought into analysing himself and his performance and how to improve that during his year out. It was also interesting how he tries to focus on the players as individuals and gets them to buy into the idea that if he can improve them, then both the player and the team will benefit.

He also seems to really try and get the players to bond as a team as well. His description of the weekly team meetings where each player has to talk about an event from their past that affected them sounded like a great way of bringing them together as a group.

It was also interesting to hear the philosophy behind the choice of Trippier, Burn and Wood as the first transfer targets because they knew they needed leaders in the dressing room and on the pitch and felt that those three epitomised that.

The other thing about Eddie is that he seems like a normal bloke, not some absolute weirdo like Klopp, Conte etc.
