I wasnt implying that. I know Baxter hoofed the ball against Millwall as well. But he did it after the silly playing around at the back. By all means play out from the back but dont keep passing around in defence which only risks a goal.
Possession means nothing if you continually concede it before you have managed to get to within ten yards of the halfway line.
There was a brilliant one from Slater too, some great balls into the area that Oscar should be licking his lips for.
Strange Tyler Smith wasnt brought on. I think it's unfair that Woods always gets substituted. He has been playing well lately.
Thought like the Cardiff commentators that we dominated in the first half. We were playing like Man City with Seri at the heart of everything which was again noted by the Cardiff commentators in saying he was a class above everyone one else on the park. Cardiff got wise to that in the second half when they marked him closely and took him out of the game for the intial period in the second half. Subs made a difference along Ryan Longman made a significant contribution to both our second half goals wonderfully taken by Slater. Baxter was woeful with his on the ground passing out culmiinating in their first goal. He needs to improve that part of his game if he is to keep his place since the stopper plays a big part in playing out from the back-its part of the modern game.
Dear Liam, We really like how you’ve come in and given the players a confidence boost. The lads are playing some excellent football at times because you are giving them the freedom to play with the ball at their feet. This tires the opposition and silences their crowd. We can already see how this works. But please can we ban the goalkeeper and the centre backs from doing this? Thanks, Every Hull City fan with a brain.
Hull City manager Liam Rosenior: "I'm just proud, the resilience, the character of the group. "First half was I thought outstanding, the control, the dominance and the chances we created. "I said we will make mistakes, it is part of the process, but I was so pleased with the reaction. To come back and for young Regan Slater to score two outstanding goals, I couldn't be prouder of the group." EDIT Cardiff City interim manager Mark Hudson told BBC Sport Wales: "We didn't play well in the first half, so we spoke at half time and started the second half well. "Then we were naive at a couple moments in the game and gifted the the goal which was the winner ultimately. "We spoke about that afterwards, there's lot of things we need to learn but we'll stick together and continue to improve as a group."
Poor choice of words, Pete. Are you suggesting they should take turns to get substituted to make it absolutely fair? You accusing three successive managers of gingerism? There has to be a reason to hook your central midfielder. Presumably a Change of strategy for the last half hour?
Probably that midget T-Rex arms aren't very good at grappling with the oppo when defending corners like we do.
I agree with you though. I would love to see a confident passing free scoring 'City'. We started tonight in 21nd. We're not really in a place to start pretending we're a 90's Barca. We conceded two shockers. Yp You missed the 'if'. Man City would win the World Cup 'if' they were a National Team. Like I said just before you didn't read it properly.
Really impressive performance overall There's always going to be bumps in the road and it's going to take time to implement what Rosey wants and it will cost us goals. But we created a lot of very good chances against the side with the best home defensive record in the league. We did lack that little bit of dynamism with the starting XI in the forward areas but credit to Tufan and Sinik as they came on and provided a real spark. Little side note but I really enjoyed Doch playing next to Seri in the 2nd half. Felt like a nice balance
Ironically, Raggy served in the desert, If i'm not mistaken, he fought in North Africa against Rommel.
Other teams will soon wise up to our playing around at the back, putting on a high press. Our tactics will have to change surely. There’s a time and place for it but not every time!
