First half we could have gone in three nil up. Some lovely possession from City, but always one wayward pass from a mistake and a goal when passing out from the back. Then the inevitable happened and we let them back in, then let them get on top, but a couple of astute substitutions and we got a foothold in the game again, deservedly too. Slater took his chances expertly, and everybody is deliriously happy. Especially the faithful who were there to witness it. Well done, Liam, Daws, and all of the team, the journey home will be a toot. UTT!
we will make more mistakes but likewise, we will keep improving even more we can't expect the players to master the arts after a week i just want points in anyway, 4 points clear at the mo let's get it to 10.. and then dare to dream with tettteh i know it's good for players and coaching etc etc but this month of no football for this farce of a world cup pisses me off
After the Longman header miss I thought is that going to cost us, second half a stupid goal to let them back in it, crowd suddenly back on side, then losing so to come back and win, What a bonus. Just hope we can follow it up at home and do it again on Saturday. Well done to all those who traveled. Excellent three points.
Raggy at Endike taught us all to clear your line, and play your football at the other end of the pitch, It's no surprise we went two one down cause of ****ing about. Man Utd have been 'playing out from the back' for the last 8 years. They've won **** all and looked **** doing it. It doesn't work. Can you imagine Churchill playing 'Bulldog' with Hitler and giving him a 40 mile start.
Just watched Slaters two goals after I was demanding he was hooked. We’d be absolutely raving if one of our foreign signing had scored two goals like that. We may have unearthed another No 10!
I dunno. Playing out from the back means that you have possession. Hoofing a Hail Mary is 50:50, usually less, and the pressure is right back on defense again. I think with time and familiarity and knowing who is where, they can become Beckenbauereske in their approach.
