i'm sure the Shelvey deal was for an initial £1.7m rising upto to £2.9m I don't know the incentives but the Murray board was never the best at the negotiating table so probably something like 10 games, 50 games, 100 games, then caps for England etc

 

We asked for used £10 for the £1.7m and accepted £1.5m instead of the £1.7m

 

The Murray Board; seems like a nightmare now. Gives me the heebie-jeebies just to read the phrase,.
