Fear? Nah, you only have fear if you have something to lose. We've nothing to lose as we've won nothing in recent times. We are living the dream after years of ****e under Ashley. Even just not having to focus on relegation battles year in, year out is a breath of fresh air. It doesn't bother me one bit if you, or City, or anyone else is bigger. So long as we are trying, competing, and looking at the right end of the league table. No fear, just enjoying the moment and loving that we are disrupting the big boys. They are the ones living in fear.
I'm not afraid, I've never known us to be anything else other than the fat bridesmaid at the wedding at best. Never known us to win anything other than the championship and fully expect Liverpool to still finish 2nd this year. What I do have now, is the ability to dream a little, maybe if we have a really good season and others have injuries we can win a league cup, or get to an fa cup final. Small dreams in comparison. Liverpool becoming richer than us just returns things to the status quo it's always been during my lifetime. I really don't hold Liverpool in any ill will, and I think you's have done ****ing mint in battling City for so long. Just shows the levels above everyone else that Pep and Klopp are in my view. I do however find it very ****ing funny that a large section of Liverpool fans still aren't happy despite everything You's have achieved. If you can get an owner like the lunatic that Chelsea got I think you will have landed very lucky indeed. But I'm telling you right now with legit inside knowledge on this. You do not want to be twerking your arses for the Bin Zayed group to buy you or even get involved in buying you. I will be astonished if the links aren't paper talk because they came back to the table to buy Newcastle behind closed doors and as soon as Saudi came in, they ****ing **** themselves and ran like ****, they literally said "if Saudi was coming there was no point in even attempting to compete with them". They've since went quite far down the process of buying Derby County and couldn't even get that over the line when they were dealing with administrators. But lets wait and see.
If I'm betting on this I'm betting its Red Bird Capital with a full takeover, they already own between 10 and 20% according to the various reports. I think the statement that was put out was quite interesting, they are open to selling due to recent takeovers and rumours of future takeovers. That to me suggests somethings happening at possibly Man Utd or Spurs that has scared the **** out of them to the point they fear for their regular spot in the top 4. Other rumours regarding the sale are simply for Investment groups for the first time in the last 15 years interest rates are rising to a point where cash is king. Regardless of who buys them it will be interesting. Would love it to be a non-American ownership group though.
I’m In Dubai right now mate and there is limited chatter on this. They have chump change. The biggest noise is the sound of the Saudi wallets being dropped here (it’s an international conference).
The big boys are rattled, crying and they know what is coming. we are the Thanos of football… Inevitable…
Read their RAWK forums and you will soon change your mind. Their fans are a horrible hypocritical bunch of ****s and whoppers who conveniently forget that their own club is sponsored by convicted money launderers (sorry sucky!) https://www.themag.co.uk/2022/10/li...ashing-before-they-go-after-newcastle-united/
Pretty normal fair though isn't it. I think it's a fallacy of most football fans to think other clubs fans actually want them to do well and cheer them on. The nature of being a fan is over-valuing everything your team does (This means more >.<) and under-valuing what others do. It's the nature of the beast, if it wasn't due to our owners then people would have found some other reason anyway. There have been occasions this isn't the case (I think us under Keegan in the 90's and Leicester when they won the league) but they nearly always boil down to cheering on an underdog or supporting whoever is against the unpopular team. I'm almost entirely indifferent to whether Arsenal/Man City/ Liverpool/ Chelsea win the league other than for who it winds up for banter. It's not us so I'm just not that bothered.
