I couldn’t care how much money the owners are making from lfc. If they make 8bn or 100m makes no diff to me. Also I’ve not said they are bad owners. If you look at all my posts on here and lfc board I’ve said they’ve done some very good things for us. But the con is that they haven’t invested their own money into the squad. Ideal world that’s fine, all clubs spend what they earn and we see where we are. But when you have rivals spending 100m in squad players and you haven’t signed a midfielder for 4 years because we haven’t sold to be able to reinvest, it is frustrating because the owners are going to make 10x their initial money having made no real investment in the club themselves. It’s not a contest to compare them to Ashley. That’s a debate for another day and I don’t think any lfc fan will say they are bad owners in comparison.
of course it’s always been about money. But I think the money back then wasn’t quite as comparable to then. You didn’t have clubs owned by a state with bottomless cash able to put unlimited funds into it and just totally blow competition out the water. I think your last few points are massively generalising as well. Not sure how much you come into our board but no one over there is self entitled. No one wanted the super league. No one thinks historic performance should entitle you to a CL spot. And quite a few have said would not want to be a rich states play thing. If you’re taking that viewpoint from Twitter then need to reevaluate things.
But that’s not quite true is it mate. If they have made the club worth 3b then that means they have been successful. And you as fans have enjoyed that success. Off the back of the owners success. The reality is 18 other premiership football club fans would snap your ****ing hands off at the success you have had. The quality of football. All given to you by your owners. So forgive me if the 18 including ourselves don’t shed any tears for you right now because you are mid table for once in a blue moon. I admit it’s hilarious that FSG have thrown the towel in because they cannot dictate the money. Control the premier league. Instigate a Super league and **** over the rest of us. Even if your fans didn’t want it.
So since you won everything on offer that means your owners have delivered everything in your wildest dreams. You lot should be praising the owners for what they have done. Your fans seem to think they have been **** owners.
Nah, I think what Biscan's saying is they have been good they just don't like having their hands tied by the owners refusing to stump up same funds as City and Chelsea levels in transfer windows.
Does it? The club was massively undervalued when they brought us and the potential was always going to be worth a hell of a lot more just because of the name. The frustration is that although we’ve been successful over last few years it could have been a lot better and more sustained had the owners put some money into the club. We’re not asking for 20m spend every summer. But we’ve been outspent by Arsenal, West Ham, even Brighton.. for s club supposedly with 3bn you’d think would stick a bit of money into the transfer fund Do you honestly believe all the success has been down to the owners then? None of it was due to klopp and the players? I think most people out there freely admit that’s klopps done wonders to compete with city given the respective budgets and I think most people including lfc fans think we’d be competing with spurs and arsenal for 4th spot if we had any other manager.
Fair enough Klopp has done amazing. But the players you have on the pitch are all mostly 40m plus players. We could reel off the signings at the prices and they have been mostly big money signings. Yes the club has spent well. And the sales have been unreal. But you look at your first 11 and most have been bought for upwards of 40m. You honestly don’t know how lucky you have had it and now it seems your on a downwards turn the FSG have jumped ship. Man City have the money and the income for FFP. But most of the PL have been playing catch up since day one it’s just your owners have managed to keep up. Our owner didn’t put anything in either but he also asset stripped the club and didn’t make any attempt to grow the club. 14 years ago we where on a equal level. Ashley is a prime example of a **** owner: Yours where jovial in comparison.
This all feels a bit like a scene from The Life Of Brian, with the Poeple's Front of Judea (Dippers) and The People's Popular Front (Toon) arguing, when all along we have a common enemy in the filthy Judean People's Front (Manure).
Now Sheikh Bin Zayed is worth 850b Jesus ****ing Christ please dont tell me TalkSport actually typed that man.
It would make sense if the Norwegian Oil Revenue Fund bought them. Has a value of $1.19trillion. They get enough of them coming to watch them every weekend.
They don't have it mate that's the point... they won't die easy they'll die as they currently kicking, screaming and thinking it's not fair.
So according to the finance experts and reporters there isn't a ****ing chance in hell the 2 remaining nations interested in purchasing a football club would touch Liverpool with a barge pole. The 2 remaining countries or states being Bahrain and Dubai. Reason for it is the fans that have complained about sports washing, human rights abuses and criticised oil money. Liverpool fans appear to have become the club who are opposed such things with both supporters and officials so against Man City, PSG and Newcastle. Leveraged buyout on the way and it's their own fault. Book those cathedrals out I see floods of tears.
Same guy that failed to buy you in 2018, failed to buy us, and failed to buy Derby ****ing County from administrators. Literally answered whats app calls to toon fans and spoke at length about his plans for the club which included training basis at Shanghai Disney land and abolishing kit manufacturing deals to make own kit
