Exactly, are they not sick of us signing players who we then let go for nothing because they were ****? If we sell players for 10mill+ we are clearly doing something right
Agreed, the fact that premier league teams are scouting a number of our players is only a positive 18months ago they were being released and going to the likes of Crewe
It’s funny, I literally knocked it on the head yesterday, place is full of dickheads, and it’s a daft popularity contest in our fan base as well
People go out of there way to say something stupid just so people bite, only post to be controversial, can you get anymore ridiculous
Strikes me that the club is in bloody good hands.....they have a clear plan and are sticking to it. There will be setbacks, of course there will....but it really is chalk and cheese from two years ago. Way, way more positives than negatives....how long since we have been able to say that.
Couldn't agree more. The problem is that elements of our fanbase always assume the worst about our club - Stewart not signed a new deal yet? Well obviously the club are penny pinching and trying to get him on the cheap.
Probably the same people that expect to compete for promotion this season, build gradually and go up when we are able to compete would be the ideal scenario, all about opinions I suppose so each to their own but I think we’re going about it the right way
After the comments I’ve seen, mainly on social media, about what was said at the meeting last night I’ve realised that I genuinely dislike what seems like a large portion of the fanbase. I get the whole everyone can have an opinion thing but when the club is clearly being ran well, when we have the best team we’ve had in years, when the club are clearly improving on and off the pitch why are a large section of the fanbase so quick to **** on the club at every opportunity? I’m not a ‘happy clapper’ but I can see the vision and it annoys me that a good portion can’t see it and frankly it’s driving me away, I don’t want to spend my Saturday afternoons surrounded by people who are so negative for no reason.
Don't let them turn you away marra. If we all followed that mantra, there'd only be about 2k total in the ground every home match, booing like hell throughout. Our club is a bit more special than that.
I don't mind being sceptical or not agreeing with the strategy the club are taking. What I don't like, is the elements of the fanbase who then essentially attack anybody who DOES agree with it. So little respect on social media. Its not a sunderland fan thing. its a twitter thing. and the sooner Elon kills it the better
I only read some links that are posted on here, I dont do Twitter, the family do and alert me to any "news" so I dont thinl I am missing anything
The simple question for the half wits is, where would you rather be mid table in the Championship or mid table in the Premiership ( Brentford)
I disagree with the first part, what strategy do they want the club to take? Because it was going so well signing players for fees and then letting them go for nothing because they were dreadful. Agree with the rest
I'm not saying I agree with people not agreeing with the strategy. I'm saying I don't mind people disagreeing - as people are entitled to their opinions even if they're completely wrong. Its the people who have an opinion and dismiss / insult / belittle anybody who doesn't agree. Especially ones who "Quote Tweet" people they disagree with so that their followers who they know do agree with them can pile in.
There are people who can only feel good about themselves by denigrating others ... ... and more who believe they can see things lesser mortals aren't clever enough to grasp. I'd like any of them to explain why KLD would be wasting the prime of his life, at a soggy SOL in the Championship, when he could easily be making more money elsewhere . The amount he's likely to make out of owning this club isn't worth him getting out of bed for, never mind traipsing around Luton and Swansea.
