We all have different opinions which keeps this forum ticking over. Just out of curiosity what's everyone's opinion in what our strongest lineup is. This is mine..... ....................Patto............... Gooch...Ballard..Batth....Alese.. .............Evan's.....Neil............. ..................Pitch.................. Robert's.......Stewart.......Clarke.. It's a shame to have to leave Onien out because hes been excellent for us over the last few months.
I find it strange why youd say he's miles ahead based from Alese's performances for us when Cirkin was injured which saw him get 2 motm awards, made a spectacular goal line clearance and scored, but ok mate it's nice to see other people's opinions
Like you said, all about opinions but for me Alese is a centre back. At full back his positioning is lacklustre and he doesn't seem to know when to go and when to stay ending up in the final third all of the time - it looks great and high energy but when it's not the right decision, it has the potential to leave us exposed. Cirkin is far more solid defensively and just as effective going forward. Alese to me is a centre back who is fighting for that second spot with Ballard.
................... Patterson ............... Gooch...Ballard..Batth....Alese.. .............Evans .....Cirkin............. ..................Pritchard................. ...... Roberts.......Stewart.......Clarke..
You just beat me to it ..........................Patterson..................... ............Ballard......Batth........ Alese ..Gooch.........................................Cirkin ...........................Evans............................. Roberts..............Prichard..................Clarke .........................Stewart...............................
Patterson Huggins Ballard Batth Cirkin Evans Michut Roberts Pritchard Clarke Stewart Complete conjecture over whethere Huggins and Michut are good enough, but I'm balls in the vice in this one
Of all the young lads we brought in over the summer Michut looks like the one to me that has the brightest future. He looks a very very good player on the ball, and he has a bit of bite about him as well. Huggins is the forgotten man to me, I cant remember how good or not he was.
I've been wondering if we should go with three CMs for a while, we often get overrun there especially when we're having an off day. They're an athletic bunch who can cover a lot of ground but Evans aside not experienced at all and can leave gaps. I think Evans would be good in front of the defence mopping up and organising with two mobile lads ahead of him. O'Nien could do the role too if we needed more physicality against a particular team.
......................Patterson..................... ............Ballard......Batth........ Alese ..Gooch.........................................Cirkin ...........................Evans............................. Roberts..............Prichard..................Clarke .........................Stewart............................... Agree with this, looks like a strong solid team with added flair
I think we have recruited for a 433 but for a number of reasons havent played it. I do think it would make a real difference to us personally. Cirkin and Gooch are both good on the overlap and having an extra man in the middle gives them more licence to do it. Neil and Michut both look to be excellent passers of the ball and I think they would give us a lot of control of possession and territory. I would like to see it tried for a few games once Stewart is back - he is key to being able to play 3 in the middle I think because of his pressing and hold up play.
I would like to think that team would be good enough to happen However I would go one step further and hope Michut could be good enough to displace Evans Wishful thinking I’m sure
Be tempted to swap Alese and Cirkin. Looks a bit light in midfield - asking a lot of Evans to cover that entire area
This for me. Strong attacking line up. Would still like to see an accomplished younger version of Evans in his role.
