We play Wednesday on Wednesday in the EFL Carabou Cup. Don’t know who will be in charge but reputations need to be salvaged ahead of a new manager being installed. The ensuing round is before Christmas, giving the next manager (presuming that we don’t have one in place before we play Liverpool) a meaningful game to prepare for the Boxing Day game against Brighton, so let’s hope that we win this.
Just been and got tickets for this for me and the nipper. Pretty decent for £23 really but there's loads left which surprised me a bit. Thought this would sell well given it's our last home game until boxing day.

There are over 200 species of owls worldwide, divided into two families: the Strigidae, which includes the common British owls like the Tawny and the Little; and the Tytonidae, the Barn Owl family. The most common owl in Sheffield, as in the rest of England, is the Tawny Owl, but the sad reality is that Wednesday’s nickname isn’t anything to do with owls at all. Hillsborough Stadium, built in 1899, is in the Owlerton district of the city.
In other news, Che and the other strikers have been practicing shooting at barn doors today, in hope that by sometime in 2025 they will be able to aim at passing barn owls.
Sounding like we expect Nathan Jones to be in the stands for this one to get a look at the team live, before picking the side for Anfield.
