Tour de Febbos is going slow but steady! I made my first City/English game ever in August and have been to two more games besides Palace 0-1. My grounds so far and rating (Atmosphere/In general) 1: KC Stadium (3/5) Atmosphere and game could have been better, but the KC itself is good stuff. 2: Ashton Gate (2/5) The ground was pretty ****e to be honest. Pretty decent atmosphere though, so 2/5. 3: City Ground (3,5). Good game (result), good atmosphere and decent ground. The Palace game was pretty ****e, so rating goes down. I suspect that you guys have a couple of more grounds in your bagage, so screw the "description" if you want Next game: Hopefully Derby away. If I manage to switch shift with someone on work.
You've already made it to two I've never visited mate Anyway, my list is as follows (C&P paste job from a 'friend', ahem): Boothferry Park (God knows how many times) KC Stadium (God knows how many times) City of Manchester Stadium (2) Emirates Stadium (3) Old Trafford Anfield (2) St. James' Park (2) White Hart Lane Stamford Bridge (2) Britannia Stadium (2) Loftus Road Villa Park The Hawthorns Goodison Park Stadium of Light (2) Molineux (2) Craven Cottage The Reebok Stadium (2) DW Stadium (2) Ewood Park Boleyn Ground (2) The Riverside Stadium Elland Road (4) King Power Stadium St. Andrews Fratton Park (2) Turf Moor (2) Oakwell The City Ground Vicarage Road Belle Vue Keepmoat Stadium Galpharm Stadium Hillsborough (2) Brammall Lane (4) Boundary Park Glanford Park Valley Parade Wembley (Not including numerous non-league grounds I've visited)
The grounds in the UK I have been to (and this is in no order whatsoever btw) are: The KC Stadium (had to include it) The Reebok The DW (or the JJB as it was called when on two occasions I went there) (3 times) The Crown Ground The Riverside (2 times) Old Trafford Glanford Park Blundell Park Layer Road Stadium of Light Portman Road (3 times) Church Road (too many times to recall) St Andrews Saltergate Vicarage Road Elland Road Hillsborough Ninian Park The Britannia (2 times) Bramall Lane (2 times) Oakwell Eastlands Wembley Queensgate (3 times) Ewood Park White Hart Lane (2 times) Loftus Road The Hawthorns Sadly only 3 of those grounds were visited in the last full season (1 of which wasn't even to see City)
My anorak claim to fame is that I've seen City play Bristol Rovers at Eastville, Twerton Park and The mem. And City v Chester at Sealand Road, Maccs ground and the Deva. I might have seen City v others at more than one ground also.
easier to put the ones i havent.. started to go regularly to away games in the 98/99 season and whoever we have been in the same league as in that time, ive been to the ground..missed a handful of away games, but nobody where i havent been to the ground in another season....strangely never been to grimsby.
V Brighton at Goldstone, Withdean and Amex Ditto re Brizzle Rovers And I saw Leeds Utd playing Tottenham at Boothferry Park which was a horrible experience.
Unfortunately I'm not 80-years-old, so I've not seen City play the same team at three grounds. Hopefully when Donny go bust and reform as AFC Sheffield Juniors I'll be able to watch us play them at another one.
Febbos, not wishing to offend mate but, this is a really rubbish question to post. You'll end up with long long long responses saying nothing that you would expect. Could you reword your question to : For non UK residents / nationals (who support City (Hull)) which grounds have you visited? Now I would read this thread.
Just for City games: Aggborough (Kidderminster) Anfield (Liverpool, but for the 4-2 in LC not a PL game) Belle Vue (Donny's old ground) Bloomfield Road (Blackpool) Boothferry Park (I forget who played there ) Boundary Park (Oldham) Brisbane Road (Leyton Orient) Carrow Road (Norwich) Craven Cottage (Fulham) Dean Court (Bournemouth) Deepdale (Preston) Edgeley Park (Stockport) Elland Road (some cheating bastards) Feethams (Darlington's old ground) Glanford Park (Scunthorpe) Gresty Road (Crewe) Griffin Park (Brentford) Hillsborough (Sheff Wed) Home Park (Plymouth) Huish Park (Yeovil) Kenilworrth Road (Luton) Layer Roard (Colchester) Loftus Road (QPR) Molineux (Wolves) New Wembley Ninian Park (Cardiff's old ground) Oakwell (Barnsley) Plainmoor (Torquay) Prenton Park (Tranmere) Pride Park (Derby) Roots Hall (Southend) Saltergate (Chesterfield's old ground) Selhurst Park (Crystal Palace) St Andrews (Birmingham) St Mary's (Southampton) The Abbey Stadium (Cambridge United) The Bescot Stadium (Walsall) The DW Stadium (Wigan) The Galpharm Stadium (Huddersfield) The KC Stadium (again I forget who) The Madjeski Stadium (Reading) The National Hockey Stadium (MK Dons old ground) The New Den (Millwall) The Ricoh Arena (Coventry) The Stadium of Light (Sunderland) The King Power Stadium (Leicester) The Withdean Stadium (Brighton's old ground) Turf Moor (Burnley) Tynecastle (Hearts preseason game) Valley Parade (Bradford) Vetch Field (Swansea's old ground) Vicarage Road (Watford) White Hart Lane (Tottenham) Plus on the side of that: East End Park (Dunfermline) Old Trafford (Man U vs West Ham) Old Wembley (England vs Poland) The Falkirk Stadium (Falkirk vs QPR preseason) The Hawthorns (WBA vs QPR) The Millenium Stadium (Huddersfield vs Mansfield Playoff Final in our D3 promotion season) I might try for West Ham away this season as well, depends on a few situations remaining the same between now and May.
True, I just felt the need to post something Been a while. I've become more inactive since I moved to England strangely enough. But amusing to see. You guys have some serious good memory.
There's some sort of "club" for stuff like this (Ricardo should know?) If you visit all the grounds in the football league
You might find there's teams you've seen us play at 4 grounds as well. I'm thinking Bristol at the KC, BP, Wembley, and Ashton Gate, Cardiff and Swansea plus others at 2 home and 2 away grounds. EDIT: And as you just said Brighton at 3 away grounds you've probably seen us play them in 5 different grounds.
F*ck me, I wish I could go to Sweden, adopt a team, and contribute fluently on said clubs website, in the hope that the Swedes wouldn't pick me up on the wording of topics. Bleedin hell he could have started one about Bullard or NP going to Lestainnit.
You might notice mine are in alphabetical order. I've got an app on facebook that keeps track of it (I'd have ignored the "The" parts of names if it were me, so we'd be under K for KC). Yeah the 92 club. (20 Pl, 24x3 in the FL) It's rather annoying for me, you can see from the amount where I'm saying "...'s old ground" I've visited miles more than count for the 92 club, and then there's the relegated clubs like Cambridge (59 visited, 45 that count apparently but the Scottish and national stadiums are my fault). Oh I've done Boston as well, not sure why that's not included in my list.
1: Weather is equally as **** as in Sweden 2: Closer to erverything 3: Food is cheaper (except for junk food for some reason) 4: McDonalds is appearantly the place to be? The only place that's open when I work to 00:00 (once a week or so), so I have to grab some food there. The store is always empty, but the car park is freaking smashed with youngsters eating in their car and driving around honking. Amusing.... 5: People are too polite I got called "Darling" around 12-13 times before I got my meal at KFC which took around 2 minutes. 6: You have some scary ass spiders 7: You do not like people wearing red trousers and a black shirt 8: The UK does make me appreciate Swedish girls more, which I will be grateful for when I go back. But yeah. It's pretty good
And we call them trousers. In the UK if you say pants it means underpants, which makes that sentence create a much different picture in a person's mind.
