Not sure where he plays for us if was signed. Generally plays on the wings for Leicester but would that suit us, very different type of wide forward. I wouldn’t say no to Tielemens especially as contract expires in summer.
Wouldn’t be against Rice either. Think he’s developed last couple years and far more than a DM now, much more box to box and brings a lot of energy and drive with the ball. Leadership qualities as well. Could be a natural successor to henderson.
Lfc.need runners and workers who will.put a foot in. The amount of tines our lads let crosses in today. Oh my god. Have to get guys who can press up hard and recover not like watching thaigo half go, not grt close then trot back
Rice is probably a better fit to the way we play actually; B2B energetic player rather than a purely attacking or defensive type.
Nobody is buying 100mil+ rice or 100mil+ Bellingham guys. Cmon. There's a player out there probably already in the lesser prem or wherever that klopp is after but not the English international crazy fee players.
Wouldn't expect us to sign either, just a conversation. I do like Maddison but wouldn't be over the moon with getting Rice.
Maddison is meh. Mount is another indulged delli alli type. Could have been a great pressing midfielder but is now an average forward.
when we have to spend big in midfield and maybe even defence, I doubt we’ll be spending on another forward. Not that I disagree with you…..we should let their legs go on someone else’s books
Bob paisley innit. Nothing wrong in a 25 man squad with 5th and 6th choice being a safe pair of hands but we've imploded cos of decisions in our midfield. Not only henderson and milner but thiago who cannot run up and down, fabinho falling off a cliff but was slowing down for 2 seasons and of course the ubiquitous ox and keita.millstones If we even had two average reliable players there to carry thr water we would not be in crisis imo
Declan Rice is an interesting one - he really has developed his all round game, and I certainly wouldn't say no to him. But it all depends on the price - he is quoted to be around £100m which is just too much for him. Unfortunately for us, we actually need 3 new midfielders (When you factor the outgoings in the coming summer). Massive rebuild required.
Rice will only have 1 year left on his contract in the summer. Doubt he is worth anything like that. He's just the Maguire of the midfield anyway, average as they come
