Can't really add to what has already been said about yesterday's performance. A very poor day from all of them Patterson aside. Manager so slow to react to what was obvious to all in the ground and he needs to up his game. I'm not calling for Mowbray to go but he isn't above criticism for yesterday's shambles. Birmingham is a big game now and confidence appears to be draining from the players quickly. World Cup break at the right time. I think oniens pointless booking means he misses Birmingham game.

Absolutely. That's why I said he was a waste of a shirt as a 10.

Amad, seems to excite quite a few fans atm, others think he is rubbish.

Personally I am in the 'give the kid a few more games to settle in'. However not too many more.

I had high hopes for Dan Neil...are those hopes being dashed?

Has Gooch's absence had more effect than we'd have thought ...

... we've looked shapeless since he was injured imo.

Cirkin is better than Alese at this stage for me. I suppose that’s the beauty of football, all about different opinions…

Yeah truestory mate. Alese is equally good as going forward as he is defending imo, so for that reason I favour him and his physical presence at the back

I'd happily try Alese there and have Cirkin alongside Evans in place of Neil.

From the Stoke forum, no consolation just a comparison.

"We're getting worse, 3 defeats on the bounce, 2 of them at home to the bottom 2 means we ourselves are nearly bottom.

I'm struggling to see a happy ending to this latest chapter in our fall from grace."

" Absolutely nothing, no character, no desire, no tactics, no identity , simply nothing , no management , no direction , no clue , nothing …. "

Think results this weekend just prove this is a league where anyone can beat anyone.
No one team is racing away with it and apart from Huddersfield there is nothing between relegation and mid table obscurity, tight as a ducks backside springs to mind.
No wonder some seasoned managers are finding it hard to string three good results together.

I have wondered if either Alese or Cirkin could play alongside Evans when both are fit., or even cover for him when he needs a break. One time I thought O/9 was tailor made for that role but he also struggled , maybe its a tougher job than we think being part of that 2 in the middle of the park.

i consider it a very specialised position, you find few that are very good at it that do not need cover, they also tend to be 'under the radar' of most because a good one will quietly get on with his job of breaking play up, stopping the through ball and playing the simple pass...we have a decent one now in evans and we had an excellent one who really wanted to be here and who, imho, would have stopped us dropping to div 3 but our manager at the time decided spending 3 times as much on an unknown player was a better move.

It's a bit like the Honeyman situation.

Would that be M'Villa by any chance. I also think Leady was a superb holding midfield player, in similar vein.

certainly was...and i still remember some fans saying how 'he does nowt' but he was excellent at being in the right place to stop through balls, the kind of positional sense that i don't think can be taught.

He was brilliant, an all time favourite so calm and great to watch, time and space he had it sussed. <laugh> .

Another glimpse of that was the psychic, Wes Brown when he played, he made JoS look like Virgil. <laugh> some partnership, the game against Diego Costa was a stand out treat .

If we are totally honest about where we are, we have 3 or 4 players who are just not good enough, I know we have had injury's and yes we need them back, BUT trying to consolidate in this league is mega difficult, we need 4 more players of genuine quality.
KLD wants to bring in young and sell for profit, i get that as a business plan, but our fans deserve to watch better than this rubbish.
I have known Tony Mowbray for over 25 years, a great bloke a honest bloke, but this is just way beyond him, staff at Blackburn at the time, have said he could not take them any further.
If KLD does not give him the right funding structure, then we will struggle to make mid table,
    RANT OVER.
