Actually been listening to a couple of hers today.

 

The release of every album as a demo version was just brilliant.

 

Stumbled across this banger on Spotify again.

I used to see a girl back in the day who introduced me to the album Dry when it came out

RIP Mimi Parker.

 

Gutted, probably one of my favourite bands over the last 5 years or so, the album they did with Dirty Three is one of my all time faves.

 

Going to play their albums all day tomorrow.

 

Just played The Great Destroyer.

 

I was hoping she was going to recover and that's why they cancelled the tour dates. My brother in law went to see them in June so she clearly did what she loved as long as possible.

 

They were down as one of the supports when I went to see The National but had to pull out as she took a turn for the worse.

 

I've been into then since Guns and Drums in 2007 but lost track at times and then about 5 years ago I had a proper look at some of the stuff I'd missed and really started to love them.

 

They seemed to take a different direction the last 2 albums, couldn't get into either of those but everything else is great
