Not so much unlucky as we have made so many mistakes over the last 4/5 game which have cost us , played good football but only in short spells
The fact Dier’s getting down the right wing to try making crosses tells you exactly how little faith the team has in Emerson to do so and yet he’s still on the pitch… ****ing hell it’s beyond a joke.
Yep, Cancelo did the same yesterday and conceded a penalty and got a red card, there was also a shove on Sess outside the box shortly after, which was less of a foul, and the referee gave a free kick. Unfortunately today, we have a referee who is afraid to give major decisions against Varpool, and he`s not the only one. Royal is also a waste of a shirt, but we already knew that.
A non penalty decision and hitting the woodwork twice ain't the issue tbh. We've lost this for the same reason we lost to Arsenal, United and Newcastle... 1. We effectively play with no width in attack or defence when we play with Sessegnon and or Emerson. 2. We only play properly for one half. 3. We make truly awful defensive mistakes
This is a carbon copy of toon game. Appallingly bad in one half and ok inches second. Conte can now claim we were unlucky
