I've done this a few times now, worked well the first time but now it hardly makes a difference. I have read the fans they put in early models were ****e and the thermal paste was cheap so dries out.
There's loads of ps5s on ebay. Got mine on release day, pure fluke just happened to be on amazon at the right time. There is not a massive reason to upgrade from PS4, even now. The X-box series S is holding the whole generation back. It's not powerful enough to run next gen games but the developers have to make games that work on it. So were still getting ps4 games even though the ps5 has been out 2 years. They'll eventually abandon the series S or just start releasing games that won't play on it.
Mine was an original ps4, not the slim or pro or owt like that. I had the covers off and hoovered the dust out loads of times and the impact lessend each time.
Mines the same mate. First time I did it the amount the dust was shocking. But when I do it now there is minimal dust and the noise hardly changes. I sometimes think I'll just give up on gaming altogether.
Got this email a couple of hours ago. PS5s currently in stock direct from PlayStation. https://direct.playstation.com/en-g...1109-PSDEVNT1-GB-HRD-B-FLX&emcid=em-ps-456737
