It doesn't do any such thing. Liverpool are about as good as us so the match should be close. Who wins will more be decided by form on the day, luck or refereeing decisions than mentality.
Liverpool are far better than us. just going through a tough period, but know how to raise their game when necessary. Tomorrow is necessary. We don't do luck or refereeing decisions or mentality in these games. I honestly see only one result .
No Son, No Kulusevski, No Romero, No Richarlison plus a knackered Kane, Bentancur and Hojbjerg can only lead to one result...just hope we don't damage our goal difference too much
Today we must start the match like we have started the 2nd half for the last 3 games and not with the handbrake on. The starting XI can all have midweek off as the Forest game is a chance for all the fresh players to get game time. If we start slow today we lose simple as, start with the 2nd half intensity and this Pool team is beatable at the moment, but I fear today will be a game too far for the going behind and pulling back style of this season.
Just a thought , what has happened to Paskotsi ? He was making good progress and a regular for his national team but I've not heard anything about him lately, just thinking about back up for the defence
Despite their indifferent form so far, Liverpool are still 1-11 stronger than us and with our absences & ailments that gap is only reinforced. We can win, but let's face it, in games against our supposed closest challengers we have significantly failed to appear. But we can still live in hope
As of late September he was injured, not sure with what but assume he still is. Imagine it’s a pretty bad one seeing as he hasn’t kicked a ball yet. Sayers has had a pretty long injury too. U21s is a mess at the moment in general though. Sold some decent players, some good ones are/ have been injured, some good ones are probably pissed off with the club for basically letting them rot and others just aren’t good enough. It’s something Paratici could/ should look at and try fixing, starting with sorting loans out for those in need of first team football.
“About as good as us” - They’re a far better team. They’ve won the CL and PL recently while Spurs have only won the league cup in the last 31 years. It’s not even close tbh. In a one off game there’s a chance but with Spurs results against rival teams this season I don’t hold out much hope.
The fa cup win was May 1991 so that doesn’t count and yeah 2 league cups not 1 but still that’s the only competition Spurs have won
