    miss that ****

Could whack your jacket hat n gloves on…don’t forget the gloves coz you might come across some interesting things that you want to pick up, and step outside and you’d see one of them mountains of fire in the distance for you to just go n join or even many little ones in peeps gardens. multiple households in their gardens having firework displays with loadsa kids just gathering round and watching. Curfew hours were extended…I had till 10pm to stay outdoors regardless…Mr Senior kept his shop open for longer because he knew…we knew too…it was the perfect set up.

    ****e nowdays imo….all a bit rigid n functional

When we were kids,it was fields opposite where we lived and a plot of ground where an old cottage once stood, that was always where out street bonfire was, neighbours would save wood all year for it and the build would begin a week before, it was always massive. As soon as the build began, my older brothers and a few of their mates would be on guard, so non of the ****s from elsewhere would come and light it early.

I was thinking only a few days ago, you don't get penny for a guy anymore, a lost British tradition, replaced by the American tradition of Halloween. Fook you Walmart (ASDA).

and some old ****ers would stab the guy with a fork before giving you their penny, just so they'd know you'd made the effort, rather than just dressed up a kid.

Remember coming home from Uni once and there were some on the step as per ...didn't know who I was ... chirp up with "penny for the guy mister" ... "deal" says I and give them a coin before promptly picking up the guy and walking into the shop and round the counter and into the house part ...

Their stunned little faces were a picture ...

Shortly after returned it with a few bags of sweets btw <laugh>

    What a dickhead.

He just needs to put a bit of board inside the gate to step over, they wouldn't get out then until they are bigger.
