What is it with Polish football fans? I watched that excellent game between Fulham and Wisla thingy last night and what a bloody din the Wisla fans made. ALL game. Everytime I watch a game with a Polish team play, the noise from their fans is pretty amazing. I can't think of any British team that gets near to them, and even nosiy Europeans (Spain Italy Holland etc) don't keep it up throughout the whole game. And they all seem to have such deep voices. Are they force fed a diet of coal and woodbines or summat? Wonder if they're doing owt tomorrow and care to sit in West Stand Upper to get behind The Mighty Tigers.
could make for a good atmosphere next summer, might be heading over there for one game to sample it hopefully...
Not a good idea. It'll spur on West Ham who'll assume that the people who don't speak English very well are cockneys.
Is that supposed to say you are from Poland in the brackets on the heading. If so, than very good English and grammar.
erm have any of you ever been to a match in Turkey? I can state from first hand experience that the biggest din usually involves Galatasaray. I was at one game that Hakan Sukur scored 4 goals and Hagi the fifth..
As I sit and look around me, I do sometimes think my fellow spectators could do with a tad of polish - my good friend, Mr Sheen, is raring to go - what's a bell-end?
I saw Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion over summer. They were playing the other newly promoted side in FC Augsberg so it wasn't exactly the most popular game they'll have had that season but even so it was the best football atmosphere I've ever been a part of. The drums and the Ultras just went constantly... it was terrifying at first having 30,000 Germans all chanting and banging in perfect synchronisation, but they all ended up being really nice, none of the bile you get over here from what I saw anyways. I want to go back!
Long story, I joined this site pretty much straight away from it's creation but having moved to Northampton for work I'm not so in touch with the Tigers anymore. The closest I get now is TV and Soccer Saturday! I read articles here all the time but don't comment so much. I'll try to turn that around, though I won't be particulalry handy at commenting on match and player performances. I still keep up with the club and the passion hasn't died! In a nutshell I like the way the users on here have formed a little community, probably much tighter than the old 606 gang! Though my only concern is if I voice any 'realistic' view points I'll get shot down for being negative as I've read a few articles where people have been crucified for nothing. I won't spout too much drivel and there's some good personalities on here so let's see what happens, I'll get involved a bit more boss, no worries there! now it's time to get a few down me! Have a good eve all!
The title of thisd thread reminds me of OLM's the other day entitled 'Every team has some **** supporters...', I several times had to resist the temptation to point out that it sort of read as though we have fans who support '****'.
Class that. Here's another.
