brave lad putting a score down , i'm just happy for the win, and like someone has already said on here ,some team soon are due a scudding from us, i hope it's this one cos im all set to celebrate in style
Yes , I was there - unfortunately, I was only about 11-12years old and was more than a little disappointed . Think he scored a hat trick all from long range though I may be mistaken .
Yeah, I saw that one didn't go down too well. The big man was in attendance as well for that. Should have just bought him a few gallons of Guinness.
No - but just read it in the Sunderland Echo Sunderland vs Cardiff City 3-3 - September 28, 1963 Just five months later, goals came in abundance again in front of more than 37,000 at Roker Park. Nick Sharkey opened the scoring for Sunderland after six minutes, but former Newcastle striker Ivor Allchurch quickly fired back just two minutes later, only for Sharkey to again put Sunderland ahead. But Allchurch scored two more goals to complete his hat-trick after just 25 minutes to put Cardiff ahead 3-2 at the break. However, Charlie Hurley’s second-half goal meant another thriller finished level.
Good win for Preston. They don’t score many but you can’t knock their defensive record, they’re always competitive in games…
No idea what these will be like today as they’re pretty inconsistent. we just need to come straight out the blocks and hammer some early goals in. Going for 4:1 home win , 3:0 at half-time
Sadly our club is leaving itself wide open to litigation. A SC holder, in the North Stand, would be able to claim/prove that the club failed in its duty of care imo. Tesco might have a persistent leak in the roof, over two years, which causes a puddle that people might slip on ... ... If they don't take action they'd be liable if someone eventually falls, fractures their skull and sustains brain damage. You can't keep inviting the public onto your premises and fail to provide a safe environment. Especially if their brain ends up in a state as bad as the imbeciles throwing things.
Cheers for the info mate.'63 was it....I was a season out in my memory. As someone else has said,I think I remember a couple of his goals being scored from about 30 yards out! Monty's double vision from long range deceived him!
3-0 win today. I know nowt about Cardiff to be fair, but I'm feeling confident in our lads. Clarke to return with a brace!
