A Manchester City Perspective of Manchester City and QPR http://qprreport.blogspot.com/2011/11/manchester-city-perspective-of.html
I am looking forward to the game as i like to see SWP play (not sit on a bench) and hope he does well for you (not too well against us tomorrow though) I also like Barton, people slate him but i think he is a great player and has grown up a lot, I watched Blackpool a few times last season and DJ always caught my eye, I honestly think this is going to be our toughest challenge so far (excluding United obviously) and my arse will be twitching especially if we start slow as we have been recently.
Some of you seem a lot more worried about this game than we are optimistic mate! BTW...DJ has a broken foot!
Its just occured to me that looking at the money each Man City player is worth that will be playing and the fact that they put 5 past Tottenham at WHL and 6 past Man Utd at Old Trafford that we will not be playing Doncaster Rovers tomorrow and a guaranteed 3pts. I will happily take a point now and if thats not possible a defeat where everyone gives 100 per cent for 90 mins. Come on you Rs. Good luck City though after tomorrow. Like to see you win the league for a change instead of Utd and the other west London team.
QPR boss agnonises over strikers QPR boss Neil Warnock is agonising over whether to start both Jay Bothroyd and Heidar Helguson against Manchester City this evening. The one sliver of light at Spurs last Sunday was the 20 minutes after Bothroyd (pic) came on at half time, and together with Helguson, fashioned Rangers’ goal and the team’s best period in the 3-1 defeat. Warnock has so far resisted the idea of pairing the two for longer, but reckons Bothroyd has undergone something of a rebirth in the last two weeks. He said: “Jay’s got a little glint in his eye, and although he’s talked a good game – he’s playing one at the moment. “It’s been the best training I’ve ever seen him do recently and he warranted coming on at Tottenham. “I think there’s every chance over the next couple of games of bringing them together.” As with the 1-0 win over Chelsea two weeks ago, the Hoops boss reckons all-out defence will scupper one of few chances Rs have against the league leaders. He said: “They have to be below par and we have to be above them. And I don’t think we’re going to get a better result than Chelsea – but you never know. But if we defend, like Villarreal did midweek, you know City are going to score anyway.” Warnock also praised the two Manchester bosses for their shrewd use of a huge budget – and reckoned there was a bit more than waving a big fat chequebook in fashioning a great team. “Sir Alex (Ferguson) has had to deal with signing and looking for good players for 25 years, and it hasn’t been a bed of roses for (Roberto) Mancini as well over the last 18 months,” said Warnock. “It’s not unfair they’ve got loads of money. You’ve still got to sign the right players and get them blended. “We’ve spent a lot of money in respect of where we were 12 months ago. In a big club you’ve got to manage egos and deal with that sort of thing all the way down the leagues.” iReader
we are gonna play with two strikers? So is that 1 in goal and 8 defenders as well..or are we gona go for 3 goalies, 6 defenders and two strikers? I will be happy be a point.... COYR's
From what I have read this morning NW is setting up the team to go for it against Man City. If we take the game to them, we could unsettle them. However, they are a class side so be afraid....................be VERY afraid.
QPR Greatest XI v Manchester City Greatest XI | Football & Sport | Sabotage Times The Hoops host the Blues on Bonfire Night, with Mario Balotelli hoping to create more fireworks for the league leaders. But forget Balo, what about the mavericks on both sides 40 years ago? http://www.sabotagetimes.com/footba...-v-manchester-city-greatest-xi-who-would-win/
On the other hand there is no point us trying to defend against them, they will break us down (even with One Size injured). It will be interesting to see how composed they are with Mackie chasing them down.

Latest - Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany misses this afternoon's Premier League match at QPR as he serves a suspension for his sending off against Wolves. Playmaker David Silva will be assessed after being substituted during the midweek Champions League win at Villarreal with a back injury. Joleon Lescott is expected to return in place of Kompany with Stefan Savic retaining his spot. Owen Hargreaves will hope to be in contention after a minor calf injury but Carlos Tevez is likely to remain frozen out. QPR are struggling to fill their bench as Shaun Derry is out with a groin problem, Akos Buzsaky has an Achilles complaint, Rob Hulse is sidelined with a knee injury and DJ Campbell is missing to foot damage. However, Kieron Dyer could return from his foot injury while Adel Taarabt may play despite suffering from a stomach complaint. QPR Squad: Kenny, Hall, Gabbidon, Taarabt, Traore, Bothroyd, Faurlin, Orr, Dyer, Barton, Young, Smith, Helguson, Murphy, Wright-Phillips, Ferdinand, Puncheon. Manchester City Squad: Hart, Richards, Kolarov, Lescott, Y Toure, De Jong, Milner, Barry, Silva, Balotelli, Dzeko, Aguero, Savic, Clichy, Johnson, Zabaleta, Nasri, K Toure, Hargreaves, Pantilimon.
We will have to be very careful today with Martin Atkinson, and must get our tackle's spot on otherwise it will be yellow cards and sendings off all round.
Quote of the day - “And every night is Burns Night in west London when internet philosopher Joey Barton is spouting quotations on Twitter. Fireworks may not be confined to this London skyline if Barton and Balotelli are in charge of the Roman candles.”
