    Leeds Utd v Bournemouth
    Saturday 5th November 15:00 | Elland Road

Bournemouth make the 500 mile round trip to Elland Road on Saturday against a Leeds team, rising in confidence following their win at Anfield last weekend. Jesse Marsch will be keen to put distance between the Whites, and the bottom three, in what will be their penultimate match before the World Cup kicks off on November 20th.

Bournemouth will be without key players Lloyd Kelly and Neto. Kelly has had a persistent ankle injury which has continued to keep him sidelined since mid-September, whilst shot stopper Neto (a Summer freebee from Barcelona) has picked up a hamstring injury. Mark Travers will deputise between the sticks for the Cherries, but his recent form has been terrible. In the six games he has played in, this season, he has conceded 20.

Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, Archie Gray and Leo Hjelde continue to be ruled out for Leeds whilst there are doubts regarding Liam Cooper, Tyler Adams and Rodrigo, who are all carrying knocks. Luis Sinisterra's chances of playing have been rated as 50/50 by the Premierinjuries.com' website following his ankle sprain several weeks ago.

Think this game will be the defining game of the season. If we win this it will be back to back wins and 6 points from 2 games. If we lose we can expect calls for Marsch’s head again. We win Marsch is safe even if we lose to Spurs. But if we lose then we are still on the doom loop of one good game and 3 bad…. My prediction for this has to be positive and expect a 3-0 win. Summerville has a huge chance now that we have lost Sinisterra until next year

Totally agree Doc that this game is potentially season defining.

Question is though, what happens if it's a draw ?

League position wise it would still be a useful point, but when we factor in results as a whole and who we've played etc then a draw is clearly not enough.

Who would have believed after the Chelsea game we’d have to wait until we faced Liverpool for our next league win.

Have the board a replacement ready in case we lose? Hopefully we’ll come away with three points, we should but impossible to predict with this team at the moment

Think if it’s a draw it will go on perception of how we played did we deserve a win or was the performance bad. If we win and then lose to Spurs we will have 15 points from 14 games at an average of 1.07 points per game which just gets us to the 40 point mark and even then it could be touch and go. However if we draw we will have only 13 points from 14 games averaging only 0.9 points and only looking like reaching 35 points for the season.it’s imperative that we win and then start back getting results in January

    As Jeremy Clarkson would say
    Here’s what I think
Win and we just may have turned a corner and stand a chance of staying up
Lose or draw and our chances of survival are very remote as we will have too much ground to make up

It’s reaching the point where it’s in the lap of the Gods

Some interesting comments from the presser today about Jimmy - clarifying a discussion we had on here recently about him. Seems he may not always have been the consumate professional - apparently Jesse didn't let him go home for his birthday either <laugh>

I've said that Bournemouth are the worst team in the league. Stick by that but O'Neil has them more organised and they offer a threat on the break - and potentially in the air with Emu's favourite lump, Kiefer Moore. As the Jamager said recently, as a side that happily concedes space behind the fullbacks to allow crosses in, what do we have to worry about against a 6'5 centre forward?

In short should win, better bl**dy win... but banana skin potential.

Forget this post. Already answered. I had a 10 year old on my case and rushed in.

Can’t see anything but a home win in this one, fancy your boys to go on a bit of a run and fly up the table now.

The point would only be useful if we pick something up at spurs in my opinion. If we win Saturday then spurs becomes a free spin of the wheel

    Interestingly...

    Bournemouth are roughly 4/1
    Leeds at Spuds are 4/1

I don’t normally bet much but 4-1 to beat spuds will certainly be worth a few quid if wires hard earned cash

The Bournemouth, Spurs double would be the way to go mate...

Unless you've perked up and think we're getting better <cheers>

We’ll lose to Spurs unfortunately, they seem to win no matter how bad they play

True, but we are tailor made for an Antonio Conte counter attacking side.though Son being injured helps massively

true dat. Spurs rarely seem to outplay anyone decent… but have that array of attacking talent on the counter. You’d expect us to go there, look a threat and lose by 3. But hey we’re predictably unpredictable, as Saturday showed.
