I think Hojbjerg's largely been excellent this season and I've often thought he's done well since joining. Hasn't perhaps had that "wow factor" addition to us like Kulusevski has but I think he's been a very solid signing and a considerable upgrade on his predecessors. Adding Bentancur to join him, who's arguably had a "wow factor" has also aided his game as he's got a midfield partner who is his equal (and better in some aspects) so there's been a sharing of the burden that Hojbjerg's more or less carried for the previous two seasons - and that's why I think he's made the odd mistake, as he tries too hard which certainly isn't a bad thing but it results in trying to take on too much and inevitably not being able to fulfil everything perfectly. I'm not overly hopeful on Kane signing a new deal but it should the club's main priority to try, once a decision is made whether it be good or bad for us, I think focus should be on securing Hojbjerg's future, to me he's also the best candidate for captaincy.
Juventus want to bring in Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, 27, from Lazio and Italy centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, 23, from Inter Milanin order to convince Tottenham manager Antonio Conte to join them. (Calciomercato - in Italian)
The club just posted an annual deficit for the fifth year running, last year's being a record for Serie A (iirc it was in the region of £200m). They've crashed out the CL and are currently 7th in the league. If Conte does go back there, it will be out of pure sentiment and loyalty, not because the club can afford to match his ambition.
These clubs seem to get around finances look at Barca currently 5th year running a deficit yet they still signed Ronaldo within that period. I can’t see it happening either but it’s seems as though everyone knows what Conte at Spurs needs to improve us.
Barca are ducked now though. They mortgaged their future on making the CL knockouts and then a Super League happening sometime soon. They’re out of the CL and it’s hard to see the SL project reviving anytime soon, even if Juve and Madrid are still dead set on it. Madness.
Atletico Madrid have made the following players available to balance the books after their CL exit Yannick Carrasco Rodrigo De Paul Joao Felix Thomas Lemar Paratici cracking his fingers already...
Felix? Really? Lemar's contract expires in the summer. Someone could sign him in January on a pre-contract. De Paul's a mess off the pitch. Avoid.
Felix is on absurd wages, pocketing £155k a week, which goes with the territory given he's a Mendes client And it's that last part that has me wondering, given the talk of Paratici looking to get an inroad with Mendes when he brought in Nuno, whether Paratici wants to get on the same page as Mendes given the talk of another January redesign
Felix is too light weight for Conte We were linked with Carrasco on deadline day and he is the only one that might fit the way we play
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly tied up the signing of Atalanta playmaker Ruslan Malinovskyi. Now, Italian publication Il Giorno claims that Tottenham have gone back in for Malinovskyi and will pay around £13 million to secure the midfielder in January, giving the side a boost until the end of the season. https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/to...alanta-signings-rumours-gossip-transfers-thfc
He scored twice on his debut and has now played another game and scored again. 120 minutes and 3 goals. €120m? Real Madrid, Barca and PSG are all after him, apparently.
The main reason he's an impact sub is Atalanta are playing 352 with Hateboer and Maehle as WBs, whereas last season the played 3421 like we were That being said he's hardly an outcast, starting four and subbed on in seven of their twelve matches this season
Younger than Perisic and the same age as the (inevitable, given Atleti are clearing the decks) links with Yannick Carrasco The one thing Malinovskyi would definitely offer is he has a foot like a traction engine and can wallop one into the top corner from 25+ yards like the back of the net owes him money, and we could certainly do with somebody who can blast them in from the edge of the area Now, if we could sign Illya Zabarnyi from Dynamo Kyiv in January that would also be a good sign, mainly because the club would be saying **** PUTIN
