Lucky cause they had a few chances they couldn't finish. Blackburn were lucky against us, Huddersfield were ****e at finishing doesn't make us lucky!

You say that, but so did we. Had 3 good chances first half. Something people forget when saying “on another day”

Their manager said “on another day we get 2 or 3 goals”, well, on another day we get another 2 or 3 goals so we’d still win!!

After watching the game again this morning I think the main changes that helped our shape was taking off Evans and Embleton they were both poor yesterday.in my opinion Embleton need to be a bit more positive on the ball, most of our players bring the ball in look to turn and move forward bu Embleton seems to pass backwards almost every time. It may be that he feels that is safer but it slows down play and makes it harder to break lines. Maybe it is because he is playing more defensive but he seems a bit slow and needs another yard of pace. Ba was very good when he came on coverd the ground well passed well and made challenges so ATM I would be looking to start him in games over Embleton

I think post world cup the answer to your question may well be Michut. Mowbray seems to rate the lad which is unsurprising given Michut's pedigree.
Dan Neil will need to find greater consistency of a higher performance level than we've seen from him to date to keep the French lads out of the side.
I don't think Evans will be a regular starter other than the likes of Norwich away, think we'll look to use him to see games out as a sub which may suit him better longer term.
I was impressed with Matete when he came on last night as well.
Can't wait to see the likes of Ballard, Alese, Huggins and Stewart back and the new lads having had the benefit of the winter break/warm weather exercise and hopefully a couple of key additions in January.
We can still be right in the mix for the play-offs..

said on here at the start of the season i felt he would be as frustrating as exciting on the pitch.

i like that he has defenders guessing but it was no shock he had most success going outside rather than cutting in as when he does that they simply crowd him out, i honestly cannot remember a tackle on him, he just seemed to lose the ball rather than it being taken off him and certainly needs to be more consistent.

So much better than I realised at the time to be fair. It's not even close to the Reading goal though - that one is in the company of Carlos Alberto and Esteban Cambiasso for the great team goals.

The first goal last night showed how effective he can be when he decides on a different strategy. Rather than trying to cut in and take 3 defenders on, he tried a give and go with Amad and the result of that was far more effective. He and Clarke need to mix things up now and again to keep defenders guessing rather than trying to curl the ball in past the keeper all the time. Whether that is down to us having no strikers available we'll probably never really know

Perhaps the give and go works because the defence is expecting him to cut inside ...

    ... just a thought.

No where near our best, probably took the lead against the run of play, made a few subs that seemed to make us more comfortable, scored a breakaway goal to wrap it up

Is there any video of Luke Onion’s goal celebration slide.
I’ve seen a couple of stills but not the real thing.

For what it's worth IMHO we have played a lot better and lost. We had our moments in this match, but overall were not good, but won!

    Football huh..
