Nope. As soon as Spurs play an half decent team then they get beat this season. Sunday will be the same even though Liverpool’s PL form is crap. Add in the injuries to Son, Romero, Kulusevski and Richarlison and I don’t see much hope
It's hard to disagree about our prospects on the weekend if we approach the first half like we've done in others this season but I'd say it's too hard to say as to how we'll do in the KOs. Will be Feb by then, we'll have hopefully strengthened in January and we won't know how our squad will be looking fitness-wise, those injured right now will have recovered from current injuries, hopefully they don't get any more but with the World Cup in between I think we're likely going to expect one or two players either coming back injured or massively fatigued... possibly both - but then many teams will face this problem. By then I'd also like to think this first half nonsense will be left in the past, we'll need it to be.
Even madder when you consider that Juventus fans thought we'd been mugged over by paying less than £35m for him and Kulusevski
Yeah, what a dive. Note that this wasn't the angle that the media showed endlessly. I wonder why? Van Dijk failing to acknowledge this blatant foul and claiming a dive is the real cheating.
Had a feeling he fractured something in his face. Looked immediately swollen when the cameras zoomed in on him after the incident. A nightmare season for the poor guy so far has just gotten worse. Hope the surgery goes well. I’d imagine he’ll end up having a mask for a while and should be ok for the World Cup.
Not sure about a mask for a fractured eye socket - cheekbone, jaw maybe. I think that's the end of his World Cup. Sad if so for the player.
