Someone could be in trouble for his comments... Strange that he thinks VAR decisions should be made to "go our way", when they're (admittedly supposedly) made to establish what actually happened.
Most of them seem to be handball related which is very subjective anyway. Maybe they are just very unlucky ? Don’t all managers think a decision is wrong when it goes against them unless it’s basically a hack like that Luton player on Sunday . I notice Moyes did the old Wenger act of saying “I didn’t see it “! Classic sign of a manager who has benefited from a decision .
To the letter of the law, I think they’re both correct. I can see the first goal being overturned, although I don’t believe he could react that quickly to seek advantage, but the second one is definitely a penalty for me. I think he uses his arms to aid him block the cross, not merely propel his body.
Sounds like troubles are coming around again. Hope they are available to play Saturday. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f.../Wigan-Athletic-late-paying-players-time.html
Just give us the points if they cant field a team On a serious note are they going down the same path as Bury, I hope not
Haven’t they not long been taken over after a previous spell of financial trouble . Seems clubs and owners don’t learn. Maybe a warning for those who think a new owner would solve any problems the Pozzos might have .
No touchline ban for Klopp - does it set a benchmark that you can do that and pretty much get away with just a fine ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63417427 Or does he get away with a fine as Klopp is a big name but a lesser one would be punished .
Big Club Syndrome - remember Arteta's actions at the Vic last season which led to an Arsenal goal. He got away without a sanction of any sort - not even a word said about it. The manager of any smaller club doing that would have been crucified.
Friday night football takes me 50 miles up the road to Poitiers, for a French FA Cup game with Chateauroux. It has not been exciting in the first half, but you can see fans walking in front of the camera munching away and with their cups of coffee. The children have been doing their best to get some chants going, but not too succesful. 1-0 to Chateauroux at half time, you may be able to watch it here. https://www.berrichonne.net/actualites/saison-2022-2023/actu/3817/le-match-en-direct Chateaurour are in the dark strip.
I see that the Welsh FA are planning to change the name of their international team from Wales to Cymru - the name they're already known as in Wales (or should I say, in Cymru).
Watching the Bristol C Sheffield Utd game. Towards the end of the first half with the camera focusing on the rain the commentator said, "Everyone's got wet but not much else has happened."
