Just seen this. What a waste of time and money. Pandering to the noisy gog minority. Why ffs!!!

I also see Wales (not f'in' Cymru) are adopting that dirge of a song by the Free Wales Army Firestarter as the World Cup anthem. Again, why ffs!!!

We have a perfectly good, no great, anthem which is known throughout the world and lifts the hearts and minds of all who hear it. And I can't even sing it but hearing it sung before our games brings tears to my cynical eyes.

We are still the same people, the same team, the same fans. Why mess around with what we have and confuse people?

This isn't politics it is blatant nationalism.

    Rant over.

    For now.......

Quite right. As a nation we should stick with what came first.

Lots of Welsh spoken in the south of the country, especially the south west, even the far west from south of aberystwyth.

99.9% speak English, maybe 20 to 25% speak Welsh as well. That is fine but don't foist stealth Welsh on the vast, yes vast when compared to the for Brexit percentage, majority who really don't want to know.

But as usual loud minorities speak louder than passive majorities.

By all means learn the language, any language even, but don't expect everyone to to have the same interest.

It seems to me that many supporters of the Welsh language like to look backwards and revel in the country's apparent mythical history. Dragons, giants and keeping the English out. That is fine and good stories can always earn a few bob from gullible tourists but it is hardly the way to move forward in an ever changing world.
