Had a recommendation for Tokyo Vice. Watched the first episode last night after the ****ing debacle. Very good indeed. 8/10. "!Inspired by true events".
I enjoyed the first season it's done by the bloke who did The Raid film. This means the action is OTT and really well done. Certainly worth watching but haven't seen season 2 yet.
Off to the flicks tonight. 40th anniversary release of John Carpenter's The Thing. Digitally remastered in 4K. One of my favourite films and even better on the big screen, especially after an MD bomb
Netflix gives the option of German with English subtitles or dubbed English. I went for dubbed English. My son, posing git, just watched it in German
so of the above: 1. all quiet on western front (netflix movie?)- much recommended? 2. the stranger (neflix movie) - recommended? 3. tokyo vice (series) - ?? 4. gangs of london (sky series) - ?? 5. Under The Banner of Heaven (netflix true crime series) - ?? any more. need a set of things for the blood sports cup boycott. Anything coming on amazon prime or disney? Andor is comig to end and mandalorian is next up. Tales of the jedi is really short watch but fills in a crap tonne of "lore" between the prequel movies and really get set up for an asoka movie/series
Tokyo Vice is excellent. New one on Prime which I haven't seen yet called the Devil's Hour or similar, starring Peter Capaldi. Excellent reviews
