Money obviously talks, but that, to me anyway, has just tells me that he’d have had absolutely no loyalty to City if a bigger money offer came in. Yes I know we all go to work for money, but how much is enough? I don’t think Acun’s offer to him would have seen him renting a flat on Great Thornton Street, so I think we’ve swerved one there. At least with Rosie or Daws part of their heart is with the club, and that’ll do for me.

I have also been a manager under my own right so I think I can look at things in a slightly different way and use questions to help Andy and Baz to get where they need to be. "It's a nice group of people to work for and if I can help in any way then great. My family are from Hull which is a strange link, so it has come full circle in some way. I am not sure how long the role will last, but I am just happy to help out where I can really."
So, Martins, money rather than accepting a challenge to reach the richest league. Interesting - does he really need the money? Not sure what a manager would get financially in the Greek league, but Qatar will probably be money for a very comfortable lifestyle for the rest of his life. A bit like LIV golf I suppose. If he looks out to sea, and soaks in the heat, it is likely to feel more like the Algarve than looking out at the Humber estuary would!!!

It is absolutely brilliant news, not just for the club but Josh himself... Lets hope if his medical problem was similar to Charlie Wyke who has just returned he goes on and makes a full recovery... and from a selfish perspective he's a proper player....
It's extremely small baby steps, but it's looking more positive then it has. The lad has been through hell and deserves every minute he can on the pitch
