I wouldn't read too much into it. We don't know the full terms of the loan except that it was a season long deal with an option to buy. There may be a clause that the loan can't be shortened. If anything, the fact that he got injured straight away will show that he maybe can't be relied on, so we actually do need a January addition.
The club should know 100% that if they try to not buy there will be a huge fan backlash. Imo like it or not, whether there an actual player klopp wants that's available or not, there will be fume if none turn in for midfield
We are waiting for Bellingham when his buy out clause drops, and then City will swoop and offer three times more than us.
More make do and mend **** for the midfield.Need a new thread for those deluded to think we'll sign Bellingham.
It should be, if they're damaged within 90 days should be able to return them for a full refund and get to pick a new player off the shelf.
Far too simplistic. Transfer fees aren't pay in one lump sum for example. Wheres the stadium costs? Do wages include bonuses and loyalty payments?
If nothing else its mixing drinks. 2021/22 tax year includes transfers in that year, Cash flow and all that ****e. You can't show revenue form one year then start talking about the next. Which is exactly what happens when they start in about transfers. Lfc need to pay for a variety of things so only time will tell now if they are bullshitters about having money but the right squad or not. This squad needs investment starting jan1 not Jan 31. If they don't get anyone and are not close to getting anyone but sell say Phillips then you know they are complete bullshitters. Lfc = self sustaining business, one paying for a big stand and paying back owners for prior stand. Ergo don't have the cash flow and are not allow run up debt to spend 200mil on players. Aka meet all the requirements for ffp and not bother fsg about money. That's the requirement. So this window now, as I've said a few times now will see absolute hysteria from the Internet type fans if there's not serious investment. It could well be the month where fsg have the fans really turn on them full on.
FSG have delivered on all their promises so far. Now it's time to take the next step. We don't know if the lack of transfers is due to them or Klopp. I think Klopp can be stubborn in his approach in that he wants his first choice target. You need to keep refreshing a squad if you are to keep challenging. There's no doubt that we have an extremely talented squad but it needs new faces to relieve the burden on those who have worked their socks off over the past few seasons. We've got a small section of players who are stealing their wages atm. If we don't dip into the market in January, we'll need a sea change in the summer.
