sounds like you’re pulling together quite a management team Jammy

I like Olof for dof. It has a ring to it, and I reckon he has some good contacts in the tranny market.

    leeds60 for head of scouting

doc is a shoe-in for managing the 21s

have I got the job of putting the cones out? Or do I need to send in my cv?

All strikers go through tough spells when they struggle to score. I've heard it said many times that they just want to fluke one off the knee to get back on track. I think the bigger problem for Paddy is that he's so one footed. Does JM get him just to use his right in training? he must do so maybe he just can't use his right foot.

Sorry milky but you're over qualified for the cones.

Hope you don't mind but I've put you on statistics & analysis with Aski and he'll be in touch first thing to start collecting the data from 1919 onwards.

Love ya and have fun <laugh>

So it's up to jm to figure out a system to cope with those teams.

    No need to apologise btw:emoticon-0148-yes:

yeh, he probably thinks we just need a bit more luck than we’ve had against those teams, and he has a point - but there’s no doubt we haven’t looked as effective

    17.3 - 0.12

Our review of the game suggests the next time we play that 73 cup final Sunderland team, the best strategy is to tw*t the keeper before kick off.

We’ve always struggled with those tactics. Same back in Bielsas championship days. Difference then was we had a little magician called pablo to call on. I remember many games where we huffed and puffed for 60 or 70 minutes and then the maestro would produce a sublime pass or a goal of his own to turn a fame. The Swansea game that effectively won promotion was the perfect example

absolutely fella - most teams struggle against it to be honest. You need to score first to open them up. Our problem is we then usually w a soft goal straight away <laugh>.

I agree… Pablo’s legs had gone but he was ideal for a 20 min cameo against tiring defences. We don’t have that type of player anymore - little number 10s are less common than they were a few years back. We’re probably going to be reliant on a bit of magic from one of the wingers… luis or maybe we can include Jimmy now?

Think Gnonto off the bench would be incredibly useful. He's got pace, good feet and can work in tight spaces. He's a strong little ****er too. It must be a nightmare for a tiring defence.

It's a funny old game. He offered nothing except falling over against Boro u21s - stick him on at anfield and he looked composed on the ball and picked a couple of good passes out. The cross for the goal was a bit lucky but was preceded by a nice turn and he was prepared to run at them. He definitely has a nice touch and likes to hit short crisp one touch passes. Zurich used him almostly exclusively as a second half impact sub. Hey he's 18, so he was doing that from 16 onwards. I'm sure Marsch has been drilling in his role in the system so he becomes a viable option off the bench for us too. He must trust him. Huge game to chuck him on.

Didn't see him at Boro but saw him live against Southampton u21's. He looked composed, good passer, quick, pressed well but the one thing that struck me is that he was very intelligent. His movements and decision making were top notch.

He tired pretty badly that night and was taken off as he drifted out of the game but he was very good for 45 minutes.
