I still reckon we’d be around 6th place if Stewart didn’t get injured…

Since Mowbray has come in we have gone backwards. I hope KLD is keeping a close eye on things. I would give him until the World Cup to see where we are it and then make a decision.

He looks a really tidy player. Intelligent on and off the ball. Decent tackles and sensible passes out of midfield

Well said mate. I don't think it can be stressed enough how much of a miss Stewart would have been even if Simms was fit throughout. To then have Simms pull up and play without a striker is a massive handicap and kick in the balls for Mowbray!

Instead of looking at the final scores and league position look at the displays. Outclassed and easily beat in the end by Burnley but other than that the lads have been in every game. Even with var we would probably be 5 points better off in the last couple of weeks as we could have beat Blackburn and Luton if a couple of important missed decisions were called back (penalty and offside against Blackburn and the foul before their goal yesterday).

I absolutely agree the lack of strikers have cost us points. It is not just the lack of a focal point who makes centre backs work, ot goals, but we lose out on the best of Clarke, Roberts, Pritchard. Even the likes of Neil or Evans, dont have that movement to hit the real killer pass. The centre backs cant hit the diagonal. Everything is disrupted. It reduces lots of players ability to impact the game.

Looks useful doesn't he, first thing he did on his debut was get his foot in and win the ball cleanly, seems to be what he does. I think Mowbray's impressed from what he's said, he's not just one for the future he looks like he can be effective right now.

We'll just have to be careful how we use him. He looks slight and will needs protecting. Unsure as to whether he can play centrally as part of a 2 - maybe that playing behind the striker will be his best position

He’s exactly what we’d have went for 5 years ago, thankfully we wouldn’t touch him if he was the last striker on earth these days

I think we need to see where we are come Jan as to whether we need a couple of tweaks or some serious recruitment

Ballard, Alese, Stewart and Gooch will all be back, Huggins too. That leaves us looking very strong across the squad, albeit a 3rd striker wouldn't go amiss

Also the small problem of him being absolute dogshit. If we signed him it would be a travesty, we’d be better off signing nobody
