Adding personal to a squad that are performing well doesn't always work out. I remember Newcastle being top before adding Asprilla before falling away (Keegan's "love it" season). Can't think of a more recent example tbf
I just don't see them lasting the course. Part of me wants them to because it'll be more interesting than watching Man City run away with it. Trouble is, that only leaves two CL spots got Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and maybe Newcastle to fight for.
I know what you mean. Fcking ridiculous aint it Something's got to give. I can't call it, I have a feeling Chelsea won't make top 4. Tbh I really want us to go get Toney in the January window. We need a proper old skool CF.
I like the look of Toney, would be a good signing for you imo. A good solid focal point. We clearly need a midfielder or two. Unless our hand is forced, we won't sign anyone in January though
Brentford turning to **** as they are could help. He's apparently holding back from signing any contract extension. I was listening to the radio earlier, all the talk on liverpool. I hadn't realised Thiago is 31. I thought he was about 26/27. I don't really know who Livpl are going for - Bellingham? Did you show any interest in Kalvin Phillips before he fcked off to City?
I think you are right. Spurs are not great but will scrap. Chelsea look **** all season but are up there due to nobody else being any good. Newcastle are only good for about 8th but sit in 4th. Utd had a mare will the last few days of transfer window. Lfc are obvious. I really think top 3 is already now decided. City from arsenal with spurs trailing in behind. 4th will be just about on the 70 point mark but probably only need 65 points due to the rest being total ****. Lfc to miss out even on europa. 8th imo as conference is of no interest.
Most of our main players are 30/31. We bought players around 23-25 initially with the aim of them peaking together, they did and it worked but we're on the other side of that peak now.
It's October mate. We know where Spurs often are in October and where they are come May. Ironically two seasons ago it was virtually the same script including Liverpool. Agree with you about Chelsea and Newcastle.
It's the conte factor. I think they'll trundle along in 3rd all season. He knows how to do that UNLESS he has a better offer as I wouldn't put sabotaging spurs past that ****.
Don't know if we showed interest in Kalvin Phillips but not a fan so glad we didn't go for him. We're linked to every midfielder going atm, even Bernardo Silva tbe other day! We definitely wanted Tchouaméni but he chose Real Madrid. We definitely want Bellingham but he's going have a pick of clubs.
Nah we were never in for inferior ****e like him. We won't be buying anyone who's on the hot to trot list.
true I see that team being Lloris, Romero, Holjberg, Kane. And if any of them 3 outfield players are out they're fcked imo. They've been found out by any half decent team that's played them this season.
He's been poor this season. It seems atm Spurs are rescuing games and he's not the one doing the rescuing.
Tbf there is absolutely zero effort needed by Barca or his agent, he IS the key buy for Ten Hag. There's no doubt we wanted him and still do. He wanted CL footy though allegedly and the money he's owed. Both of those went well for him!
