Things really changed from fp3 to quali - not sure if it was wind, temp or track rubbering in. I also think that due to the tyre test in fp2 no one really did any long runs.
You could be right with Ferrari having more grip left at the end of the lap especially as they did seem to be sliding round some of the corners!

When they show the grid with the drivers portraits, Bottas always looks like he just spotted the pub in the distance.

I thought Merc would split strat to have both options but both on Mediums!

Max is just going to drive away going on the start

Edit. I didn’t realise Max was on softs and the Mercs on mediums, Lewis will be fine at nursing his tyres ready for when Max pits.

Jesus, can they not do a pip of the leaders while they show multiple replays of the start of different drivers

Neither Ferrari’s are in the fight. Sainz on the softs 3.5 seconds behind Russell

Cat and mouse really isn’t it- VSC or SC could be the decider in and around pit windows

How far do you think Lewis can make these mediums last for just a one stop, 50 laps?

Surprised with Perez not being able to keep up with Lewis, that George isn’t closer to Sergio, before Sergio’s pit stop just now

I can help feeling Ham going into hards is dooming him. And us, to a very dull race.

I'm not sure, maybe this is the race to split strats with the 2 cars - Lewis on 1 stop and put George on 2?

Not sure if Merc going rest of race day on hards with Lewis is the right strategy. RB obviously going 2 stop so maybe best to run softs on 1st stop leaving soft on 2nd.

Yes, it’s hedging their bets. It’s ok as long as he can stay with Max on those tyres, if not he won’t be close enough to take advantage later. It doesn’t feel like the aggressive strategy we were promised, but they obviously know more about the performance in those hards than I do. I hope.
