Some interesting stuff, from his close friendship with Xisco (<yikes>) to his Vietnamese Grandmother (!?) but yet another sign of positivity and direction in the club. Good to know Pards is trying to change the philosophy and style of play, focusing on possesion and passing.

    Good article.

Nice to see Bernard still retains links with the club and also that ex-players have been selling the club when asked.

I look forward to a complete Cabaye when he's up to speed with the league :) He'll be incredible!

What a bloke.. It says at the top that he was a replacement for Nolan, great replacement i would say. Nolan might of scored more for us but obviously Cabaye has plenty of time to catch him up. Nolan was an out and out goal scorer, where as Cabaye scores goals (good ones at that) but is mainly there as an influential play maker. This lad can have an amazing career on tyneside and will hopefully stick around to help us finally win something.

Great article. He speaks very highly of us and it's nice to know he wants to do well here, and wants the club to do well. Guaranteed, he'll end up a legend here.

I got an email off my brother the other day asking if I had any ideas for baby names...Him and his girlfriend are expecting their first in February (and the first of all my immediate family)...I'm not sure how seriously he took my suggestions of Demba or Yohan but if we continue on this vein of form I'll be writing out the birth certificate myself!

Demba Yohan Lamb has a certain ring to it I think!

Didn't actually know it was a hip injury that put an end to Olly's career :( I loved him in his time here and I'm sure I remember reading that he said leaving here was by far the biggest mistake he'd ever made.

Good to see that the heady Keegan days remain a pull for potential signings - the football that side played was some of the best I've ever seen and it was a privilege for me to behold when I was younger. Also Antoine Sibierski, what a legend :D

Cabaye seems like such a level-headed character, it's clear that he's not quite 100% adapted to the English game yet but he's already class and will only get even better. His career with us will be as long as he wants it to be.
