5 yellows is a bit poor from him to be honest, but 10 returns in 17 games is absolutely phenomenal. A goal or assist roughly every 1 and a half games. He's only 21, far from the finished article and if we'd have had Stewart fit, he could have easily had a few more contributions to add to that. Ignoring the levels obviously, he's returning for Sunderland about the equivalent as what Martinelli is returning for Arsenal this season. That's a standout season to date.
Agree re the fouls/cautions but the kid has been outstanding. Comfortably player of the season so far
Sounds like the lads battled back for a good point. Nice to stop the little losing streak. For the record my lad won his fight. Unanimous on points. Good fight all round. Ready to Go is the new walk on music for the next few as well.
This run we are on is frustrating but was thinking earlier about how much fight n potential this team has. Once we get ballard n stewart back we will be a totally different team. A front 3 of roberts clarke n stewart is up there with the best in the division. I would still like a little experience brought in january, especially in the middle of the park.
It feels like it's a fine line between success and failure for us this season, the squad is pretty small so we feel the effects of injuries harshly, especially when it's key players. As you say put Ballard and Stewart back in, Simms on the bench and we're much more comfortable. There's a lot of spirit in there and it might have been started by Neil but it's been continued by Mowbray.
Panicked like mad there. I’ve literally arranged my day job around the game on Wednesday!! Thought I’d ****ed up fir a minute
Well done to your lad, my cousins lad ( Ryan Scope ) is a kick boxer and doing really well. It looks bloody vicious mind.
If VAR had been in use ( and used properly ) that goal would have been chalked off, and that thug sent off. In fact he would not have done it in the first place, and we could be two points better off and maybe 4 over the last few games, what a difference that would have made for our league position to-day. Even Monty would be happier . OaU
Kickboxing and MMA are brutal, and not my cup of tea so much. MMA particularly I find a hard watch. Anybody stepping into the ring for any combat sport gets my 100% respect though. One of the fights last night was as good as you will see on an amateur card. Two really classy boxers. One was just a cut above and in the 3rd he caught him heavy right on the chin and legs went to jelly. The lad was a warrior and took his 8 count on his feet but the ref said no. You watch lads doing this sort of stuff, then hugging and talking after makes you proud.
I totally get what your saying but we are a bunch of soft sh*tes. K.Ball or L.Cattermole wouldnt have stood for that. Next passage of play they would have kicked that c*nt into next week. We havent got anybody like that and other clubs know it.
I can understand the sentiments but sorry boxing, horse racing and fox hunting impressively engineered from distance to resemble sporting activity leave me cold.
I was away yesterday and only know our result. To save me time can somebody give me a quick summary on how the game went, who played good and who played bad etc
