Ramsey kept his mate in a job , as an anti Smith poster I will admit that was an improvement, and after Cantwell Sara and Nunez came on we played our best football all season for about 20 minutes
Gunn deserved a clean sheet but you could see that McCallum was a spent force in that last 10mins. Hayden also looked pretty sluggish all game for me. We scored some nice goals and stopped the rot. Lovely flowing moves and energy in the second half. A win and some nice football, I assume everyone is happy
Well, that's Smith safe until at least the WC break. Whether that is a good thing or not depends on your opinion of Smith. Personally I felt the performance was pretty awful until we were 2-0 up, but I accept that might have been due to nerves and loss of confidence. Just want to say to those people who are currently saying we should put Pukki on the bench - neither of those first two goals would have happened without him.
I'm ok with that, creating 16 chances of which 9 on target. Great brace from Ramsey whose confidence will grow with that. We rested Cantwell, Sara and Núñez who all came on and played well. Cantwell chased and harried and looked dangerous. Núñez's parried shot set up Sara's goal and they're beginning to form a relationship. Pity about the clean sheet but Stoke deserved that goal. On to QPR now.
Happy with the result if not the first half performance. Impressed with Cantwell when he came on, along with Nunez and Sara.

It was like a switch had been activated from about the 70th minute. The three midfield subs completely changed us, until then we were pretty dire. But that last period give hope, possibly false.
