If we're going to be ****e can we do it on a Saturday please, ruins the weekend...fair play to Birmingham but poorest I've seen us, especially first half, plus more injuries...still we're still up there and doing better than I thought we would

I think that’s the more worrying aspect, we didn’t seem to have an answer for it. Injuries didn’t help. Injuries may not have helped, but the subs didn’t bring much to the game at all.

At first I thought we had a lethargic 'we are top of the league' approach to the game, I soon changed my mind when the speed of their press dictated our play, or lack of it. That Hannibal from man utd did more running, hassling and passing than all our midfield combined and that summed up the whole game for me. Some days you've just got to say that the better team won on the day. I honestly don't think Salter or Roberts going off made much of a difference.

Stayed up late to watch the Luton game
Got up early to watch the Birmingham game
Might not bother watching us from the comfort of my couch and stick to watching steelsy+ at work
At least I'm getting paid if we're ****

Early fluke helped them...... they pressed well and kept Chair quiet...... penalty miss took the wind out of our sails........ that goes in a very different last 20 minutes ensues.......

Willock a big miss, need him back for Norwich..... Jury still very much out on Armstrong........ still only another 8 wins and we're safe..........

We were beaten by an ordinary side that, on the day, were better organised than us and wanted it more than us. Eustace had one over Beale, but it doesn't make them a top side. Do you think they'll finish above us?

I don't think there should even be a jury for Armstrong. He's learning what it takes to play at this level. I believe this lad will learn from every single minute he gets and will improve with it.

Very true. And for all the good work Dykes does his shots straight at the keeper are just ****ing annoying!

I have to disagree, they were certainly not an ordinary side tonight. I'm yet to witness a top side in this division, to date but that was the best performance I've seen against us so far.

Watching Armstrong tonight, he is not the answer, the lad tries but is way off the mark for the 1st team, hi touch is poor & finishing & had a couple but couldn’t sort his feet out, at this stage I would play Bonnie until we get a striker in

To be fair Jeff, he is only 19. Long way to go yet. We were the ones who all wanted him in the team.

I totally understand what you're saying and I know you're not making Armstrong a scapegoat or anything like that but that game and the loss tonight was not about him. You could run through the whole team and pick out mistakes relative to their positions.

And we were wrong. He would be better off playing in a lower league. Nowhere near good enough as this level…yet at least.

The kid hasn't even played a full 90 minutes for the 1st team yet. I don't understand what the question is if he isn't the answer? We are developing a player at the club by giving him 1st team experience.

For the second away game running we soundly lost the battle of the coaches. Eustace of all people knows how vulnerable we can be to a high press and exploited it to the full.

I'm in Armstrongs corner tonight. He's suddenly gone from wonder kid to not good enough after a loss to a better team. What exactly did he do wrong tonight or what did he do worse than anyone else on the pitch? I'm genuinely intrigued. Dykes missed a penalty yet its Armstrong getting the attention????

It was yet another average or poor performance we repeatedly put in when Willock is out. We had more shots and more on target but never looked like scoring. I was sure Dykes was not going to score the pen.Hope Willock is back soon, can improve us again, and stay fit.
