Only if they were born there during the war. They had changed its name by the time he was born. Nice city with a great stadium nowadays. Wonder what he thought of Geraghty saying City Of Culture year would give visitors a change to see how the rebuilding of the city after the war was getting on? After he stopped laughing.

Helps when forming an opinion. For some, anyway. Though the all important data shows his recent goal scoring record has been good. Don’t know about the xGs and conversion rate though.

I’m furious so he didn’t leave his kids in schools in hull but had them at Brighton
    In fact I’m heartbroken
    Why Liam why
You loved it here and your nana used to babysit the kids too
    No loyalty
“You’ve been great for us but we’re not prepared to renew your contract for next season.” The words I think every player fears and dreads, so when I heard them from my (now former) manager Chris Hughton, I felt a whole range of emotions. I’m at the stage in my career that I knew what might be coming but at the same time you can never prepare for it. I’ve been released and just like every player who has experienced the scenario there is no way to ready yourself.

Disappointment is immediate along with the relief of at least knowing the decision. Then you question yourself and you feel failure, worry, fear and anxiety that any person in any line of work would feel when losing their job. I appreciate how privileged I am to do a job I love and get well paid for, and I understand people who say flippantly it’s OK for the likes of me who have had a long career and all the benefits that come with that. But the sheer emotion of having to break the bad news to my wife and children who are happy in the area and at their school and having to come to terms with the fact my chances of playing at the very top level again are extremely slim makes everything daunting, painful and testing.

Does anyone else think it's a bit weird that a few of our regular posters post morning day and night? I do. It's a bit sad, I think.

It's their life and time, if they want to use it discussing/posting on a football forum about the team they support and have for probably a great number of years, then why's that a concern of anyone else? And what right does anyone have to call them/it sad?

Maybe some are retired and can’t get out much due to health reasons. Maybe others are younger and can’t get out for similar reasons.

I'm not suggesting they'll all come here, I said they would know want to about the city, the club and the culture. Rosenior has actually experienced it, whereas somebody like Martins would have had to look it up on the Internet before he came and even then would still have to adjust, do you not think there's a bit of a difference there?

I get that money talks, but if I was looking for work and saw a job in Barrow (the one up North, not the Lincolnshire one), a place I've never actually been to, I'd probably want to have a look at where I'd be living, working and relaxing, maybe discuss it with my family, before sending off a CV. If I did the interview over Skype and then rocked up looking for a house and it was a complete ****hole (sorry people from Barrow if it's lovely), I don't think it'd go down well with the family.

Compared to Barcelona most places in this country are crap. Or compared a lot of other European cities. But football managers don’t expect to be anywhere too long. A lot don’t even bring their families with them.

I'm retired and have health issues but get excercise when I can but still have time to post a lot during the day.
I'm actually able to get to my first match tomorrow for the first time in ages but that's only because my Daughter is with me.
