I try and be a considerate tractor driver. I pull over if a queue builds up. You do get some numpties e Our club has an old sand quarry about half a mile from our small holding. Funnily enough though, I spotted hell dog preoccupied with something a few days ago. Turned out to be a partly eaten fish in one of our paddocks. I assume a bird of some sort dropped it. Right, sarnies made, car packed, trout beware.
My only fishing experience is for tarpon off Florida. Bottom dwelling monsters. We hooked one but it broke the line. After that we decided to kick back on the boat, drink a few beers and a glass or 2 of rum and be entertained by the dolphins. Very civilised.
Away from football??? Hmmmm? On my little part time job. Driving my visually impaired mate for his work around Swansea. I'm currently sat outside the Library while he is involved in a meeting about starting a football competition for the visually impaired in this area. I wanted to bring a can of blue spray paint and endorse the "not so mighty" Bluebirds around the ground plus other words like "feck off you Jack barstewards" but he told me I had to play nicely. Bloody spoilsport!!!
Well, if your mate changes his mind, make sure you use Hammerite. Don't want the rust poking through. Btw. Good work on supporting your mate
I want to leave here in one piece with my car intact!!! The second bit is a challenge in itself. Wheels - check. Sound system - check. Paint work - no additions or dents - check. See next post.
I could have gone down in history. Went for a stroll around the area, up to the retail park. The things you see when you don't have your pea shooter with you. 1.45pm and there was the JB's team bus loading up with players and staff, on their way for an overnighter before their Wurzels' game tomorrow. I could have made history.......
Well done Bluey. I’ve just driven by Swansea for about the first time in 15 years. Luckily I was able to bypass it on my way to Bluestone. It’s lovely here.
This was me last weekend in dubious pose at the Roman Baths in Bath. Spent a few hours there and still came out wondering just what have the Romans ever done for us????
It wasn't always like that blue. Done the daily grind. Feel fortunate to have found myself in a place where I no longer need to and get to do something very different. An enjoyable way to pass time.
Can't be anything much better in life than doing something that you love. Especially when you've worked hard in order to get there Good for you sir
Not sure its something I love Clingo, though it has grown on me. It was unintentional, but fortuitously so. 10 years ago I'd never have thought about buying some land (Mrs Remote's fault), let alone raising calves or sticking my hand inside a sheep. I must admit to enjoying tractor driving and bombing around on a quad bike. As you may have gathered from some of my other posts, sitting in the tack room watching hell dog chasing our daughters collies, or standing in the cow shed watching the weather do its worse, is as pleasurable as all of it. 7 years on I still marvel at the appearance of a lamb, the attention from the ewe, then within 10 minutes its up and about. The tups are in with the ewes, so 150 ish days and it all starts again. I will admit that I'm as happy covered in oil, mud or $h!t as I ever was in a collar and tie. What do they say? Same $h!t different shovel. Don't miss the office politics one bit.
