Last count 885 views on YouTube, I would say that's pretty poor and looks like not many are excited with our progress!!

    Well just finished watching

my take Richard Gould came over very well going to be a big hole to fill.

Makes Mark Ashton look. like Arthur Daley.

Nigel Pearson very thoughtful and gave good answers.

Tinman has a great job and came over very well.

I got a bit of an impression that Nige is not here for the long haul..statements like “your club” not our club..feels like he’s setting things up for his predecessor/s.. (in which he thinks is the right way). Feels like he’s keeping his distance..
I do quite like Nige, but I don’t feel he has much emotion towards our club.. but that’s my view and I could be wrong, it has been known!!
I like what we have at the club and how we are setup.. but we do somehow need to transform all that good into progress on the pitch.. it’s been a long time coming..

I am on the same page as you onefor as I have never detected much of the us above all mentality but rather an air of disengagement. Being realistic I can't say that I am that much in tune with his team selections and the set-up of the players. I don't even begin to profess that I have much knowledge about tactics and team set-ups but I do know what I see and that is, disarray particularly at the back and when the final 10 minutes are on the board then watch out! Our attack often lacks the final oomph to get it over the line and when I see the constant back passing, and the mistakes it often creates, it makes me want to scream. Surely a lot of that lack of action to avoid the inevitable mistakes has to be the responsibility of the gaffer, and that is NP. Are the players not following orders or is it total mayhem out there too much of the time. Kick-off tomorrow is 4:00 a.m. over here so no footy for me. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Worrying aspect for me, is Nige doesn't really have any answers to our defensive problems, it will continue to to be our undoing and the only way out to is to basically score more............imo, that is worrying, when we, on occasions go a whole game without a shot on target...

You may well be right in terms of Nige’s long term future.
But the bits you’ve said about him saying ‘your club’ rather than ‘our club, from what I’ve seen of him over the years as Manager of other clubs, he’s always been the same.

He has and he is right the three on the plinth last night work for the club and are custodians as NP put it us as fans are for life and hes has always said clubs are the fans at previous clubs.

Onefor -Worrying aspect for me, is Nige doesn't really have any answers to our defensive problems, it will continue to to be our undoing and the only way out to is to basically score more............imo, that is worrying, when we, on occasions go a whole game without a shot on target...

Nige deep down knows the defence is his weakness and as he said playing three at back is the best way to play with what he has at his disposal.

I do think he is here for the long haul and i honestly believe this will be his last job in football.

The players at his disposal, are you kidding! He has signed/resigned 8 defenders since he’s been with us. In fact, I think the only non-defender signings he’s made are James and King.

My reading of his attitude towards the defence is the players aren’t good enough, the system is set up as best as it can to minimise the shortcomings, but there’s only so much he can do as we don’t have the ware with all to improve them.

As for our club and not his, he’s right. Managers and coaches come and go, we are fans for life. I like that approach.

He went on to say he wanted to set the club up properly rather than taking a short term approach, so that even if he goes before we reach our goal, the next incumbent won’t have to deal with the mess he told over. I also liked his point about the HPC, saying at first he wouldn’t call it that because we were crap. He referred to is as the training ground. Fair play Nige, even Gould and Tins laughed.

Think you can click fingers and all will be good.<laugh><laugh><laugh>

The club was rotten and he took on the poisoned chalice.

Sorry mate, but you seem to be the one with blinkers and that’s for your Nige. One minute he’s got them playing good enough to achieve a playoff place the next minute, the players need shipping out..
I actually believe that he’s in the wrong role and maybe coaching, tactics and selections aren’t what he’s good at.. I think the role of DOF would suit him much better as he seems to know how a club should run (footballing side of things).. expensive DOF but maybe it’s what’s needed.. . Just need a decent team coach and I think we would do better.
