Did Harrison himself state he wanted to make the world cup squad?. If so someone has been giving him delusions of grandeur. Jimmy is faster than him and shoots better so let him go.

Can you please try to stop talking sense? My consignment of "Sack Yourself" T Shirts and Banners are due any day now. There are enough clowns that believe that is how it works I am planning on making a killing.

Failing that, I will just sell them off cheap at the end of the season, some people can't resist a bargain!

Let’s cast our minds back to December
2021 Radrizzani states that in order to invest in the squad we would have to sell one or two key players.
Marcelo Bielsa states that he has a budget to work to hence so no January incomings
Fast forward to December 2022 what’s changed Radrizzani is still skint

That explains everything junk food all round no wonder they can’t do a full 90 minutes. Need to put in some serious training but not too much otherwise they’ll be over trained :emoticon-0107-sweat:)

At least we didn't change the coach that kept us up last season

God we are all idiots, I am surprised that we never thought about this before.

Our issues have nothing to do with players being good enough or not, coaching techniques and tactics, its a lot more simpler than that.

Poor performances started at the commencement of last season, and have continued into this.

What is the one constant thing about those two seasons, that are different to the previous successful (relatively successful at least) seasons ?

We put down a new pitch at Elland Road. No doubt when Victor went to B&Q, he bought the wrong type of grass seed :emoticon-0102-bigsm

(of course the above theory doesn't explain our away performances, but maybe its a conspiracy and all the EPL teams have used grass seed, that is not conductive to our style of play ;) )

Then again maybe it is time we got a new team bus, as surely the team deserve the latest comforts in coach design for travelling to away games ;)

That’s subjective. To me, strengthening means keeping your best players and adding better quality to your weaker areas. Not sell them and replace with those that may or may not be better than them. Second season running we’ve gone into it gambling on Bamford’s fitness and how long have we needed a decent left back (though I concede that the club thought Firpo to be the solution for this).

You don't think we have a better squad this season?

    100% agree.

Our midfield is much stronger this season given Phillips absence for large parts of last season. That's allowed Koch to 'strengthen' the defence. Also allowed Rodrigo to play further forward.

We miss Raphinha but he was very much hit and miss toward the end.

Personally I think we have a stronger squad this season. I think all of the signings look decent and capable of playing at this level.

Except we seem to be losing as many games this season with our strengthened midfield as we did last season whenever Phillips was missing and still letting in sloppy goals with our strengthened defence. Still at least we’ve got more points this time round……oh

Goalkeeper is the same but we've added Robles to push and coach the young kids along. I'd say we are stronger there.

Defence is virtually the same but we have Koch now playing his natural position instead of struggling in midfield. Kristensen looks like he is improving. We desperately needed a left back. It's pretty much negligence that we didn't get one. It's certainly not weaker than last season.

Midfield is stronger and has better depth. If Phillips had remained fit last season this would have been closer. Roca, Aaronson and Adams have been really good. That's allowed Rodrigo to move further forward resulting in 5 goals in 9 games.

Attack hasn't fired at all other than Rodrigo. It's still better than Dan James up front on his own.

I think we have a bigger squad with better depth. The youngsters are improving. The new signings are good. The old guard like Bamford, Llorente, Cooper and even Ayling last game are the ones making the individual errors.

We do miss Phillips. We miss Raphinha to a lesser extent. It's close but we don't have centre halves and strikers playing in midfield and wingers playing up front.....yet!
