With the WC break coming up i think it will be a bonus for us The pressing game we play takes it’s toll We may have players there but regular starters in national teams , not sure ASM / Isak / Target/ Shelvey have hardly played and will be used when WC is over That’s almost like new signings to push on further Who we get in Jan I’ll leave in the capable hands of the club who haven’t done too bad so far
Shelvey "like a new signing". I'm just imagining DPP's rage levels right now. I think you've just ruined his half-term break. Bravo.
I never said I like him Just saying we might get a shift out of him , u never know Ok forget that , we’ll have 3 fresh players then
No, come on, no back-tracking now. You implied Shelvey was like a new signing. DPP quietly blew his top. We all had a good laugh. Come on it's Friday.
Just let this sink in........ Our new pressing system........How the hell does JonJo fit into that???????
I dunno, but Howe's done well so far, I'm sure he can work everyone into the system, even "the goon who stands cemented to the spot and plays 60 yard passes off the field".
Hey, whose side are you on here? It's National Wind Up DPP Day and you're just bottling it. Give me that spoon, you're no longer worthy.
I can't see Shelvey regaining a starting spot in our midfield now personally to many playing well to be dropped and I think a CM will come in in January... But in fairness to Jonjo he played the majority of the games after January last season in our impressive run (bar the last 5 games or so when he was injured) and we had like 3 losses in there, prior to him being injured, of which he only played one. ... @Darren Peacock's Ponytail
Ah, I like it, so soften him up with some false pretence of support, so he lowers his guard - and then BANG!! I'll get some popcorn ready.
I think Eddie rates him personally and will be happy to have him back. Not as starter but he has already said he feels it would have been beneficial to have him fit for some games where he thinks he would have made a difference. Also pretty much all players have improved under Eddie, even those with much less ability than Shelvey.
