What a surprise? Nunez has had no sanctions against him and is allowed to play at The Cottage. UEFA are a joke! I could not get back in time to get to the match, so please do add some extra boos from me.

Which leaves us the job of sending them home with no points.

    C - O - Y - W ! ! !

It's more of a disgrace that it's being referred to as 'part of the modern game'. How can cheating be part of football? Sort it out UEFA!

They just highlighted Nunez just after Wisla scored - rather than celebrating the goal with his teammates, he goes to Duff. ****ing scum.

I was watching on tv last night, rather than at the Cottage, and I'm sorry to say that I found myself agreeing with David Pleat (never a good thing, IMO). We - the players that is - were getting too distracted by exacting revenge on Nunez at times. Etuhu could easily have been sent off for the tackle that earned a yellow - it was more of a red than Dembele's, for certain. I can't remember if the score was 2-1 or 3-1 at the time (I think 3-1) but either way, if we had gone down to ten men we could easily have let the result slip again.

Yes, Nunez was behaving in a far-from admirable way, but there was a context for his baiting of Duff. A few minutes earlier Duff had vigourously protested to the ref that Nunez was diving, when the action replay showed he had genuinely lost his footing with no one making a challenge and - here's the key bit - not appealed for a foul. I'm not defending Nunez (although I can see it might look like that), merely pointing out that it wasn't smart of us to get so focused on paying him back.

The most important thing - as it was before the game - is that we got the three points and put ourselves back in a strong position. That said, I'm expecting to get disagreement on much of what I've written. Tin hat on!

Best thing the Fulham players could have done was walk up to him after the game and instead of shaking his hand wave 4 fingers in his face.

Again it's a case of UEFA sticking their heads in the sand, while bleating on about Fair-play and carrying all these banners around the ground with Fair-play on them, and then doing nothing about cheating when it happens.

All the Poles round me were waving imaginary cards for the Ref to book Fulham players, every time their players went down. I was laughing my head off when Dickson took Nunez out and only got booked (he did get the ball )

He came close to getting both of them!

I enjoyed it when the tv cameras lingered on Nunez at the end of the game, starting to lift his shirt ready to exchange it with someone, then thinking better of it. Somehow I doubt that was going to find many takers. Duff rebuffed his handshake quite early in the game.

What you say is true Captain, but I'm going to have to reject the high road this time and say Nunez started it and he got what was coming to him! Bwahaha!

I don't disagree with you Captain and I wouldn't want the players to be in vengeful mood every game but I agree with Bidley that last night was a time for special dispensation. I hope that Moussa enjoyed the game from his sofa and appreciated his teammates' attitude and actions - I'm sure he did.

Yes, Captain as usual the voice of sanity and reason. I too disapprove of "revenge" in footy; I found it was hard to resist in this case.

I so much enjoyed Etuhu's tackle. Fair one footed strong challenge. Showed to him what football is about and not a diving competition!

It was not only Nunez, after some point every player was doing it!

Not revenge but some times it's hard not to think about it...

On a technical point, even though Etuhu got the ball that no longer counts as a fair tackle. Both of his feet were off the ground and his studs were showing. Those two factors define the challenge as the player being out of control and the tackle dangerous. He was lucky to get away with a yellow. Once upon a time tackles like that were permissable as long as you got the ball first, but not any more.

Captain I'll give you that you could see better and reply the challenge from TV. If that was the case then he is lucky!

One more thing, if we really want to get back at Nunez, we should sign him. Just think what Dickson and the others could do to him day after day in training!

On a serious note, if UEFA want to avoid 'revenge' as was shown last night, they should do the honourable thing and actually take action against bad refereeing and diving. If Nunez was suspended like he should've been or had Dembele's red been rescinded nothing like last night would've happened. If UEFA aren't going to do anything then they/we should expect things like Etuhu's tackle happening. Nunez did actually dive again under a slight touch from Bobby last night, and again he got no punishment. We can't condemn our own player's behaviour and ignore UEFA.

A fair point, but given that Nunez is known to be a cheat, can you really blame Duff?
