Yeah, I'd say we need a couple of wins before the break just to boost us a wee bit. Last 8 games have been tough (as expected) and we could do with a little lift before the WC

Well I will go against most of you. 1-5. JC HT, Simms x 2. It will all work like clockwork.

    Cheers RTB.

Great thread as always RTB. Looking forward to this one. Difficult game. Not to bothered about performance it’s all about the points. Hoping for a win settle for a draw. Keep the faith lads and lasses.

Excellent stuff RTB, thank you. I love the strengths and weaknesses bit.

Could Luton just outmuscle us? Could we blow them away with sparkling, incisive football? I really don’t know how this game is going to go.

    Tony Mowbray:
    https://safc.com/news/team-news/2022/october/luton-town/press-conference-luton-away

“We hope Ellis will be back. He has felt it a bit on occasion, but he’s trained all week. When he does come back will be a huge boost for us.
“Ross Stewart and Dan Ballard are still out, and we won’t see Lynden Gooch or Aji Alese for a while yet - Lynden is likely to be a few weeks, so we'll hope to have him back for the break.
“Patrick trained on Thursday and came through well. If there’s no reaction on his hamstring, he’ll travel for the game. It seemed more fatigue-based than an injury, but you always have to be careful with a hamstring issue. Burnley was too soon to risk him.”

Maybe use Roberts from the bench. Diallo scored a good goal on Sat so probably deserves a run in the team. I can see Simms not really featuring until after the break - feels like the club is gambling a lot on getting players back after the WC

It sounds like Simms is more likely to start than Roberts, Simms with Clarke and Diallo should cause them problems.

Thanks once again RTB. Hoping simms can hit the ground running. We need more physicality across the park to compete and balance out the skilled kids. A good, ballsy 1:1 would do me.

You’re right like. We must pick up points before the WC break.

I'm going for a scrappy 1-1 here - it's very important that we stop the rot.

Unfortunately I can’t see anything other than another demoralising defeat and a further worrying slide down the table.

    3-1 and more terrible defending.

The best 'local attraction' is Woodside Animal Park ....

... or 'Cash & Carry' as the local takeaways call it.

I’ve gone for 2-1 the lads can I take it Mowbray dosent fancy wright can’t see why you’d leave a centre half out and shoe horn someone into the team but let’s wait and see what team crosses the white line and give there all great thread as always RTB

Luton were recently battered 4-0 at Watford and conceded three at home to Huddersfield ...

... they're nothing special but we will need to run for 90 minutes.

Good support down there again and a win would be just reward.
