    Liverpool v Leeds Utd
    Saturday 29th October@19:45pm | Anfield

Leeds hopes of clawing their way out of the drop zone have taken a massive hit after Jesse Marsch revealed that up to eight key players could miss the trip to Anfield on Saturday evening.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Marsch disclosed that Gelhardt, Rodrigo, Sinisterra, Cooper, Hjelde and Adams may join Dallas (leg) and Forshaw (ankle) on the treatment table; leaving his side decimated, against a Liverpool side, eager to make amends for their poor performance against Nottinham Forest last weekend.

According to Marsch “I’ll just start with the injuries. Stuart and Adam are still out, in addition questionable are Leo Hjelde with his appendectomy. And then Joffy, Rodri, Luis, Liam and Tyler are all a little bit in question, we will see how the next 48 hours goes for all those players. That’s it.”

Liverpool too, have their fair share of absentees, but with a much bigger squad, and strength in depth, it's unlikely to have the same kind of effect. Diogo Jota, Arthur Melo, Luis Diaz and Joel Matip are all ruled out whilst Thiago is recovering from an ear infection.

Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin and Ibrahima Konaté have all returned to fitness and could play if selected. Jordan Henderson took a knock during Liverpool's 3-0 win over Ajax midweek, but should be fit for Saturday.

This will be the type of game we go and win, just so Jesse can in his interview, swamp us with positivity and tell us that we should just trust the process and that things are moving in the right direction. 7 days later we then get tonked at home by Bournemouth

I sometimes wonder if these are “confidence” injuries. By that I mean if we were on a winning streak the players would be able to play on with these niggles, most players will say that they’re rarely 100% every game. Maybe don’t want to play with a small injury if concerned about getting a gubbing at Liverpool and flack from supporters. Maybe I’m just being unfair.

    No, you're probably right.

Football is a very confidence orientated sport. That's why losing becomes a habit and so does winning.

When you're top of the league those 40 yard passes are easy. When you're fighting for your life its incredibly difficult. Some players deal with it better than others.

Our squad bottled it the first season under Bielsa. They also bottled it last year until Marsch came in and gave them a change which allowed their weak minds to think things were going to magically improve. That little injection of belief was enough for a few of the squad to actually play a bit more freely. Namely Phillips and Raphinha.

    1) This kick off time is stupid for a Saturday. Clearly for the Yankee Doodle Audience. I've got to be in Bradford for 8:30 in the morning, I'll be lucky if I'm awake for kick off.

    2) We're gonna get battered by the Bin Dippers.

Shame they had their champ league game wrapped up after 50 mins - don’t even have the faint hope of them being a bit leggy to cling on to.

Hey it’s a free hit as they say, and it seems most Leeds fans want us to get a tonking anyway to speed up the jesse sacking procedure

Well the F.A. have bottled it again with Mr ed being fined for his recent touchline meltdown, what an effing surprise.....so he is free to berate anyone within 100 yards of his chattering pearly whites to a perceived transgression against the kopites, give him as good as you can Jesse....it might be your last chance to shut the **** up :emoticon-0173-middl

Actually if Jesse smashes him straight in the kisser then he can stay.

And if he kicks him in the bollocks on the way down then he can stay forever.

Excited about this game, it’s Jesses last hopefully and we can all get excited over who replaces him in time for Bournemouth.

Oh result prediction, we’ll lose ;)

Who replaces him, Orta apparently had dossiers and scouted 40 managers/coaches, before choosing Marsch. Now were the other 39 worse than Marsch or is Orta just **** at his job, I'm going for the latter.
