They've tied themselves up in knots with their bigoted habit of labeling and attacking personalities, rather than looking at facts and issues. It means they repeatedly have to dig them out of the holes they've dug for themselves, and can't seem to focus on the actual issues themselves, which is fortunate as the odd times they've tried, they've shown themselves to be ridiculous, hence they stick to personal pap or 'not that ' without ever offering an alternative no matter how politely they're asked.
